interested in forks...

1) how old?

2) fully adjustable?

3) what diameter?

4) what price?

5) any servicing done?

Head lights mounted (no low beam) with custom bracket. Now doing the cut-out on the fairing. Very difficult. Been mounting and dismounting 3 times liao, just to get the position right. It's back to the car park tomorrow night for last adjustments and positioning.

since we're on the topic on "quality carbon fiber"... this is my experience...

good quality ones-damn hard to cut/file/drill/sandpaper/saw

cheap ones (not necessary bad looking)-easy by miles

e.g.: new drill bit-4 holes and it's blunt!!! can still use but harder to penetrate.

so far i've gone through 5 drill bits(same size), 3 round hand files, 1 sheet metal cutter, 1 stack of sand paper, 4 saw blades. and still not completed yet!!!

By the end of the project I'll have some spare fairing pieces which I'll put on sale. By no means inferior but i've chosen others in term of the "look" i'm trying to achieve.

Hi there,

thanks for the interest...

This Fork is from the 2002 998S... use for 1.5 year before I swop to competition Ohlins. Although the fork had been serviced before storage since then, it has to be service again before use. It's 3-way adjustable compression, rebound and preload.

Stanchion Diameter is 43. Clamping diameter is 53 (need to check)

The fork comes with the lower triple clamp.

I'll letting go of the fork at $900 which is inclusiveness of service. Service means changing ALL of the seals plus cleaning/inspecting/changing all internal components that need to be changed. I know many people in the biking scene and will not risk my reputation by selling stuff that cannot be used (in this case cannot be used unless serviced) so I will not sell the fork without servicing. Safety First no compromise.

For payment wise I'll take cash $200 deposit for the servicing and remainder payable upon delivery of the fork (to you or any place you name).

Call me at 97959998 if you have any questions.

hi, thanks for the prompt response. i'm interested but you'll need to let me know the diameter of the forks. i'm currently using 50mm ones and am not thinking of swapping for 53mms cuz i'll need to replace my clip-ons and i would need to get another top triple clamp. if the price comes with the top triple, then maybe we have a deal, only if it's 50mms though...

thanks!

I think I know who you met. :D But honestly, what would you expect him to do? Say hi to everyone who checks out his bike? You wouldn't even be able to hear him over the dry clutch rattle anyway.

Most of the time other riders are staring at the open clutch and wondering why so noisy.. giving me the look like my bike is going to break down...

no worries....i will always give a friendly nod to those who express interest or worry over my 15 years old Monster and I wont attempt to ride off aggresively for fear of stalling either.

Saw the Desmosedici RR roar past Orchard road a few days ago! wah lau, I knew it was a Desmo, but i didn't really capture the paintwork it had, not sure if it's ducati marlboro barcode or the original desmo rr paintwork. Damn loud man! All of my Khakis heads turn and told me it was a desmo but it was too late for me to turn, only saw abit of it. Thumbs up man....
