Hmm.. When I encounter peak hour traffic in Singapore, the diavel temp hovers at 110 degrees....

If my memories dun fail me, i remembered mine hit highest 106 n d engine auto cut off by itself.

N im using factory coolant. So i always plan my route b4 i go as its no good to get stuck in jams n slow traffic. :cheeky:

I had my eyes glued on a wicked Streetfighter S a few weeks back but it was taken :( Now I'm swaying to and fro. If I don't get the Streetfighter S, I'll get something similar like the Z1000 or upgrade to a Speed Triple (though it'll never be comparable to the Streetfighter S). Yes patience and luck plays a big part. Just got to wait and see ...

Who cares!!?? I don't mind doing that if I had a Diavel

thx for the reply bro,

any idea which shop to go to?

Motoworld got. The ubi branch. The scorpio alarm has plug and play harness. Spared you the agony of slicing, twisting and messy wires. But it aint cheap either. Think its between 450-600.

All the hype is simply because of the freshies in the LTA enforcement unit..when u're new,u gonna get over excited plus wanna impress new bosses so much so obviously they go all out to summon us..i've been stopped by the old timers and none mentioned abt my termis.surprisingly had good short conversations with them abt the bike.

I heard all the hype abt the authorities clamping down on our Desmo community recently..anyone can confirm this?heard that minerva fully booked for appts for swapping back to stock xhaust..

New batch of LTA's on the ball.. Better switch to stock for the time being. Unless you have the cash and time to burn

after market exhaust 're definitely no no !

there's no 2 way about it,as the saying goes....WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY(an excerpt fr spider man ? nah its a VW advert !)

instead of pointing fingers, gotta look@ourself, mate.

i'm "in" of coarse!

me reckon the local ducati distributor definitely can do something?

its all good, where somebody can arrange a discussion about dis hot topics.

DOCS(ducati owners club s'pore)

Hi All,

Following on from my earlier email there has been a lot of correspondence on the legal and compliance aspects of aftermarket exhaust systems in Singapore. The Club have discussed this with Minerva and suggest we have a forum at 3pm on Saturday 28th May at Minerva showrooms to discuss the issues from club members perspective and to hear from Minerva. However before arranging this we would like to judge the level of interest in such a forum. If you believe this would be worthwhile and are able to come along please let us know by this Tuesday night. If there is sufficient interest we will circulate an invitation to all members on Wednesday. If not we will assume people are happy with the current situation and won't organize this. Also please let us know if there are any specific issues you would like to discuss so we van make sure we are prepared for the discussion. Many thanks

Regards

Wow! Thats one initiative! I loike! Unfortunately i am working night on both sat and sun. Darn!! One thing i can never understand about the legal issue of the termis is that

1. It is homologated for street use in the european country. Yet nothing is done in Singapore to legalise it. Hypermotard slip on was legal in 07 and 08. But suddenly not legal from 09 onwards

2. If the paperworks are not done to make our termi pipe legal, why the hell are we paying so much money to buy the pipe?

3. How come racewerk termi are all LTA approved? Different termis? I should have bought mine from them....hmmmmm

Some info for legalised exhaust.

- all legal exhausts are marked with the E3-xxxxx markings, regardless of brand.

- Exhaust maker - Termi - has to submit an emission report to LTA. for every model every make. Clearance is based on that report, in our case, ducatis aint submitted

- LTA makes a point where only one company in spore is approved to sell legal exhausts,

which in this case is Racewerks. Hence, any troublemakers will be referred to the seller.

Even if exhaust is retailed elsewhere in spore, you will still see the "racewerks" stamp on the exhaust booklet.

ah di, aiy buay yen kong mai ? $200 take whole set...

It's funny that only racewerk's termi can make it legal. Do you think if we can pay them off to chop the booklet for those who brought it from elsewhere? Haha

Ermmm...

Racewerks authorised to sell termi...but NOT authorise to sell termi's for Ducati.

Coz Ducati is exclusive to sale of termi's on behalf termi company.

Hence, in this scenerio, only Minerva shd get themselves registered with LTA

on the sale of termi's on behalf of street legal termi for ducati only.

....

A simple example is .... Akrapovic is exclusive to KTM,

It's funny that only racewerk's termi can make it legal. Do you think if we can pay them off to chop the booklet for those who brought it from elsewhere? Haha

As mention, they got the dealership, factory provided them docs for submission for approval...and LTA makes it strict by allocating one responsible distributor and seller of such products...
