No experience with excel but personally i like the 16 even better than the 19. Probably because for street riding, its a lot more useful, as opposed to the track where braking feel is probably more important.

 

There is a reduction in clutch lever effort for sure. You can set the ratio click system to tune how much feel and pulll effort you want. You'll want the 16 setting to reduce clutch lever travel but with less travel you need a little more effort(but still less than before). Havent tried it on the 18mm setting yet. But you can expect less effort, more feel, but more travel required on the lever to fully disengage at this setting. Im quite happy with the 16 setting for now, the effort is no problem and with the short throw i can shift really quick, quicker than i ever could before without trying hard.

 

Thank you for sharing the Brembo clutch pump feeling. I was thinking it will make pulling the clutch more precise but more effort. I read from net, changing the clutch slave will help pulling the clutch less effort.

Looks like having both the clutch slave plus the RCS will be optimum.

Tot you were selling your bike to take over the SPS. Well, you could have made an agreement but that's water under the bridge now.....

 

yes, i was selling my SS for the SPS, and Yammy was kind enuf to give me 1st right of refusal on the SPS. Unfortunately for me, I did not managed to sell my SS quickly enuf. So when when Yammy received a serious offer from blackreplica, he still came back to me first. At that point of time, I had received little interest in my SS, so i had no idea how long it will take me to sell it, and I did not want to tie down so much cash in 2 bikes, so i had to let the SPS go.

 

 

.... Guess its a matter of timing when it comes to the used market.

Until such time you will have to make do with what's available now.

Sennas, Matrix editions etc are nice (no disrespect to owners of such models) but nothing comes close to the real deal if that is what you lust after.

 

Yes, its all abt TIMING. Now that my SS is sold, the SPS is no longer avail but the Senna is still. Dunno if its fate or what.... The same day i sold my bike was the same day i viewed the Senna. I could have bought the Senna on the spot just out of impulse! But now that I got cash in hand, i begin to think abt what i really want and whether to wait or not.

yes, i'm bike-less now but not really itching to get back on one. Now just trying to rationalise with myself whether to wait n maybe end up with nothing or grab what I can grab now and not think about what may pop up next. (Of course if money is no object, i just collect them all!)

I think you could'nt do much wrong with the 916, particularly the senna you're talking about. It was, and always will be, the original that started the series, being a 916. Its really under-used and the senna graphics is icing on the cake

 

Agreed, the 916 is first of the dynasty, the original deal. And indeed the sexy paintjob makes it a pretty one at it.

 

. Of course the 998R is a real weapon but you might end up waiting a long time, possibly forever even. I dont ever recall seeing any 998 anywhere for the last 6 years.

 

Precisely.... if it pops up in a few years, i may have a shot at it. If it appears a few months after i get the senna, my balls will fuse into one! hahahahha! Fate would have dealt me a double whammy!
