But from what i heard, a scooter can really save a lot in fuel. So overall, even w more expensive belt, would save a lot?

Also, is it true that with a auto bike, there be less engine brake than a manual bike?

i do not know what kind of saving are you refering to. The cheapest is take mrt la. No ERP no road tax no insurance.

My runner can hit 27km per litre. If you are looking at FC, obviously wave etc has a better FC.

Auto scooter still have engine brake, just like normal bike. Only we have no gear to play to increase engine braking.

I have been riding Auto bikes for a long duration. But when i mount back a bike with clutch and gear, No problem occur.(maybe biting point only)

I've did Genting with the Fino last year... no problem riding up or down.

Coming down, felt better to continue to throttle the bike on the auto.

have drove auto/manual, car/bike and most auto car and bike got engine brake also. Auto car when going downslope gear box will auto down gear for engine braking. For auto scooters, i feel that there is more engine brake at higher rpms then lower rpms. AS speed = rpm for auto bikes, at higher speed u can feel engine braking more when u release the throttle while it more or less feels like a glide at lower speeds.

Get a Yamaha Fino or Yamaha Nuovo.... Maintenance wise.... change engine oil regularly and check your tire pressure. No need to touch anything else except of course pumping fuel. No chain to lube or tension. Easy bike to ride. Spare parts are also easily available.

Not sure why Honda does not bring their Click into Singapore. Just as popular as the Fino in Thailand.

honda click is already available in singapore.. my friend got it last october from albert motors at bkt merah..

The Click is a serious competitor to the Fino and Honda's own Wave....

Fully-automatic, Semi-automatic and Clutch action. Bikes are like firearms. :)

Got official links to the Honda Click?

y nobody recommend the runner ah? hehehe...

alot of bikes can consider for 2b autos...

if u tinking abt the fc, just dont mod anyting then u can get the best of every drop of petrol..

i dunno bout u guys but its a hassle for me to top petrol so often, so can consider the tank size also... comfort wise, maybe u can consider those italian maxiscoots.. they offer alot on comfort n luggage space... example the aprilia atlantic.. it fees like riding on a boat.. BUT.. italian scoots the maintenence wise quite bad imo for its cc... hmmm...

i duno how much it cost for full servicing of the thailand scoots.. maybe sumbody here can give a rough idea how much it cost?

then there are the korean or taiwan scoots.. heard its quite econimical.. try ask ard bike shops... they can give u better opinion...

like ben parker said 'with great power, comes great responsibility' get it?

who gets summoned for not signalling? i did..

dumb luck? maybe...

mine is $4.6k inclusive of insurance. I bought it on the day I passed TP. I'm 26 btw. Small enough for a small sized old man like me, :) It's fun to take it to workshops, a lot don't know suzuki have this bike. The storage is unique, as you can put a whole FF helmet under seat. So for the first week, I'm actually surviving without a box.

The ignition area have a cover over it, to deter tampering or rust over time. It's like Nouvo, it's a half kup kia, half scooter. Throttle and go, braking is like bicycle, both handle.

It give decent pickup, great for street riding. Expressway wise, it's like all other kups, light at high speed. Design wise, I like the front, where two massive head light, like x1r, really bright and wide splash. I can put a can of coke at the built in holder in front on either side, (as you can see the coupons in my signature), and continue drinking at junctions, haha!

IMHO, i feel that auto scooter are quite high in fuel consumption than manual transmission bike. brake pads worn out faster and need more maintenances. no doubt scooter are fun and more relax to ride... but are more easily to fall due to smaller wheels. It may not last you more >3years before problems surfaces. For performance in class 2B scooter, italian ones are better but also more problematic. Japanese ones like nuovo are more refined but under powered. And you can forget about taiwanese ones.

Hayate top speed how much? will 100 strain the engine? How's the fc? Is the tyre tubeless?

Interested in getting one. :)

Always be Alert & stay Focused when riding. :)

100 won't strain engine, normal normal, but weighing like a kup, it'll feel light and unsteady at that kind of speed at expressway, blasting by crosswinds. i've done 40km/l before, maybe could be better, as I'm still running in. Stock tire where got tubeless, I intend to change to tubeless after run-in completed though.
