Anyone know any place that can fly kite as in like officially alot ppl there fly kite de . . last time marina bay can but now no more . .

 

My nephew keep bugging his dad to bring him

Changi Airport there got one big patch of field I think you can fly it there

some parts of marina south still can fly. how abt marina barrage and open space behind s'pore flyer. or yishun dam maybe?

I've seen a lot of people flying kites at the big open field next to the Sengkang Sports Complex...

Well, wide open spaces in a place like Singapore, where lighning strikes is among the highest in the world...dun get fried!!!!haha...

 

At Woodlands, just next to the Sports School, I sometimes see people flying kites there. Big open field.

Some fliers probably came from SBF's classified section. haha...sorry,cant help it.

 

Last time, tried East Coast, but waaay too many people these days.

I just went to fly kite few days ago. Marina barrage is a good place! I was able to fully extend the whole length of the string.

there is a new swimming pool at sengkang there , oppo the swimming pool there is a super duper big grass patch.

 

near to tampines interchange there is also one big grass patch which alot ppl usually fly the kite there.

 

you can even go try at labrador park. the wind there is big enough for the kite to fly up effortlessly.

 

east coast park, the part which is more towards the big splash also can fly kite.

1) Sengkang East Way / Sengkang East Rd vacant field next to CHENG LIM (SW 1) LRT

 

2) Punggol vacant field next to OASIS LRT Look for Edgefield Plains x Punggol Drive in the Street Directory

 

3) Pasir Ris Park (west end) field adjacent to PA Bungalows (Free Parking at Car Park "F"= FREE)

 

4) West Coat Park CP3

 

5) Vacant field between Punggol Field and TPE

 

6) Vacant field adjacent to the Singapore Sports School in Woodlands. Excellent site for NE monsoons.

yup yup! Woodlands especially on nice evenings, always can see alot of kites when travelling along SLE, between the exits of Avenue 12 and Avenue 2. Sometimes after the sun sets, can see some kites flying at night. They put LED lights i think...

If you are staying in the west. There is a place near Jurong point where there are frequent flyers too.
