Hi all, Just came back from Pagoh (nasi lemak) and Ayer Keroh (A&W) feast trip.

While we were riding up there, I thought of testing my scottoiler. I set to 1 which is the lowest. previously i set to 2 but apparently, the flow was high, So i checked with other class 2 bikes and yes they claim the same aswell, I checked with a few V-storm riders, yeah it's confirmed high.

I blasted at 200-230km/h for at least 15 mins and the chain is still well lubricated. the trick is the nozzle musnt move. it should stay firm at the side of the sprocket close to the top of the chain. to do this, I've made myself an aluminium bracket to contour to the shape i want, spray it black and there it is...perfect.

If the nozzles is not secured, no matter how high you set the RMV, it'll never lubricate efficiently and on top of this, it'll fling and you gonna get one messy rear.

So, do use the aluminium bracket supplied by scottoiler if it fits on to your bike or else do a custom, but if it doesn't bug you, then that's a great news. just a reminder, vacuum pressure vary for different bikes.

regards.

Hi y2kredbull,

It's not necessarily high. if it doesn't fling and on top of that your chain gets a normal amount of lubrication ( u can touch the chain and see if there is a thin layer of oil coat on it), then it's just fine. oh yes, if tomorrow morning you go to your bike and if you see a drop or two on the floor right under your bike's main/side stand, then yes, it is a little too high.

I have posted a few pictures of the improved mounting at page 44 of this thread. but here is one that might interest you.

what's new eh?... MIVV.. MIVV

the suono slip-ons looks cool ( the shorter version )..

some pictures of the suono on a FZ1.. according to the webby, only titanium ones are avail for FZ1 06 onwards..

side view

angled view

for those interested in the exhaust notes.. here's a link of a FZ1 doing a dyno with a suono

exhaust note

MIVV for gen1 FZS1000

personally i luv these 2 models

the shorty MIVV GP

side view

angled view

shorty MIVV on a dyno video

exhaust notes

luv the bassy sound and the shorty looks of the GP

for something different.. the X-cone

side view

looks different than what is available for the FZS1000 isn't it?

sounds bassy too

exhaust notes

Personally, i find the GP and X-cone for the FZS1000 has a more bassy sound than the suono for the FZ1.. in other words, nicer lah..

But the suono looks awesome on the FZ1..

MIVV didn't forget our litle brother the FZ6..

too bad they do not have the Suono for the FZ6.. i bet the FZ6 will look trick if there's 2 suonos at the tail.

2 models available, oval and X-cone

Oval

X-cone

rear view

too bad there isn't any videos to hear the exhaust notes.

Notes: - the exhaust shown above are all courtesy of MIVV webby

-all exhaust are street legal

- the videos showns are all with no baffle ( i think all of us are

interested with unbaffled sound )

- there are other MIVV exhaust models for the same bike, but i only

compile those that might interest you

- lastly, i'm not affiliated with any company, just doing this out of

boredom while waiting for the time to go to work

so Dabonz, What are u waiting for???

Foooh poweeer..
