hey Alvis wassup seems u already got ur new ride swee ah haha oh yeah i still "owe" u kopi and makan ah...btw the fuse i change 3 times all burnt the problem lies in one of the socket of one of the wires from the wire harness. Good old boss from Planet Motor changed the burnt fuse box for me as mentioned above. Btw Im having so much fun with this ride but I cant seem to hit speed above 180..Most I hit max is 170 at N-S highway.Maybe coz that time u change the exhaust for me. Now just need some time to go find wire harness from scrap yard. Hey so when are all the new breeds and old birds of G4 riders gonna have a gathering? Maybe can join the gsxr 600 - 1000 cc riders for gathering :thumb:

i use to hit 200 with pillion and 220 alone.. so should not be a problem.. maybe neew some tweeking here and there.. haha.. will meet up soon!

btw bro, u need to redline the bike inorder to hit 200 and above. cause of strong wind resistance. u need more power to push the bike in lower gears.

Apprantly there isint any aftermarket disk tat can fit our bike directly. U have to mod the bracket, but its dangerous under hard braking as it may give way. Best option is to buy a new 1, should be about 280/pcs for front. Never save on Brakes/ Pads and tyres. Its wat keep u from hitting the tarmac and back of the car !

Hi guys.

I replaced my rear shocks with a CBR400 shock. Works fine enough, but the shock is longer than standard, and causes the rear of my bike to be jacked uncomfortably high.

The standard shocks cannot be rebuilt, so i fail to see the benefits of paying for shocks that has to be discarded in 2-3 years or so.

Some bikes comes with a rare rear suspension. one with a nitrogen preload resevoir. I've heard that this gem can be rebuilt.

i would like to purchase this gem if i may.

suspension tend to suffer from leaky seals. when enough oil leaks from the suspension, it becomes too soft and the suspension will cause too much bounce. rebuild would mean that the suspension is taken apart, and put back together replacing worn out parts (like seals, and expanded suspension oils).

the suspension that doesnt have the nitrogen resevoir is welded shut. if the suspension fails, its to be discarded and replaced. something that i do not like.

feel free to replace the plug coils if need be. its reccomened that you use original plug caps. the rubbers i would advice you to scrounge around in scrap yards, or call up guan hoe. its not adviced to use aftermarket plug caps. standard plug caps are designed to swee swee fit.

the spark cap and rubber will cost u bout $40-$45 per set..u need 4 sets...then u still gotta get cable..ard $8 - $15 can get..after that u can cut the cable to 4...so total u change everything...less than $200 at guan hoe...alternatively u can get the NGK spark set....bike shop claims that NGK one is water proof and won't short circuit...cost bout the same as stock set...but confirm more than $200 coz bike shop feels that it involves alot of work...so the workmanship fee quite high..hope the info helps =)

hey bros, scrapping my bike at chong tmr .. looks like chong has a new supply of spare parts..

gonna take back my stebel horn and neon lights though..

the best part about my bike is probably the rewrapped seats already..grab it while it last at chongs!!!

exhaust pipe oso not bad.. stock... no dents.. not 'tong'

fairing - shirin's corona yellow.

rectifier/coil/engineblock these parts i don't think they are reliable as they failed on me....

yellow gixxer..

riding a phantom now.. no $$$ to upkeep all the repair cost on my bike...

ah.

was wondering whats with all the g4s arriving at the same time, albeit without their riders.

i counted 3 at the same time, not counting mine.

total of 3 fk plates and 1 fm plate.

i was foaming at the mouth trying to mount the god damned head fairing back onto the frame after replacing the headlight assembly.

its a shame about the bike.
