Wait a minute, I thought that it's because of the power cut that the HP is 53hp?

no lah its because of japan change in regulations that why the later G4 model got 53bhp. nothing to do with powercut. G4 can clear meter anytime. its slower for the other models models though

Horsepower is the torque of the bike bro. Power cut is when u exceeded a certain speed limit then your whole bike the engine will die off. Thats why riders change the CDI of their bikes as the CDI is the thing that controls the power cut. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone?

power cut is u cant go any more faster than than the whole meter cause the CDI is programmed to block u from doing so. the engine wont die dont worry. imagine going 220km/h den engine die, scary rite:cheeky:

Hi guys, I am thinking of doing a self spray of my bike. Need to get the paint off first though, so i was wondering if its possible to use paint stripper on the fairing without melting the fairing itself?

using sandpaper on the bike will be a pain in the ass since it has so many coats of paint. i am guessing that the thickness of the paint + primer layer would be over 1mm thick already.

to get the paint off properly i will have to get the paint off.

I found a nice quiet spot to store my fairings while waiting for the paint to dry, however i am a little concerned that the damp conditions may lead to the paint ending up spotty.

Plus, waiting for a nice hot day this rainy season would further delay this little project.

I am not thinking of much, just want to turn the bike all matt black, from the fairings to the frame.

I am guessing it will take about two weeks for the paint to be complete. this is not including the amount of time stripping the paint from the fairing.

and my plug coils are mucking up again. i dont know if its because of the extended amount of time it spent in the rain earlier this afternoon or what, but i should change the entire plug coil.

Its good to try and DIY stuff for our bike however its kinda "painful" process. I've ever stripped my G4(not too long ago) to see the inside of the bike however took me 2 hrs(most probably lack of the essential tools) and another 2 hrs to put it back together(I was alone at that time). And to do a self spray is not easy but not impossible. However time is the essence. It took me and my frens 3 days to self spray one of my frens 125z. Its good if you have the hand held buffer machine to remove the paintwork. I suggest u try it on a spare fairing 1st to see the outcome.

silent hunter, if gg again, remember to chk 4 me. thanks.

disc not cheap, $200+ per piece, new 1, ks can get.

$280/ piece to be exact.
