hey guys im intending to sell ma bike coz intending to grab a car next mnth.. juz change clutch plate,tyres still 80%,changed fork oil seal, change to a second hand suspension,chain n sprocket,service already n travelled less then 100km,new brake pads,new paintwork coz sumone unintentionally drop ma bike n run away..hahs.. anw ya.. i cant recall wat i change so ya.. u can text me at 82683865..serious.. ni joke.. im lo0king at 2.2 n if possible try to get 4 u a yoshi pipe if possible.. no promises though.. as for the dented tank ive already change n the paintwork is new bt a bit off colour bt still nice.. hmm.. text me if got news..im fir btw..

update..coe till 2013,juz change cluth cable,no more installment so no worries..buzz me at 82683865 fir.. thankz..anw juz sold the pipe to hippoeleben..thankz dude..

hey guys, anyone knows how much planet offers to do fork seal, steering cone and suspension? My handle bar steers left and right when I let go one of my hand. I'm not sure whether its steering cone but i know my fork seal is leaking.

I got a set of GSXR400 full fairing set (except for head fairing) including, rider seat, passenger seat, tail light, front indicators and fuel tank for sale.

 

The items are sprayed matt black and are in very good condition. No dents or cracks. Paintwork is presentable but definitely not perfect. Great for spraying whatever colour you want.

 

Asking $280 neg for whole set.

my g4 fuel consumption like quite high.. is ard 13-14 only... is it normal? wat could be the problem? sm1 guide mi plz... thx in advance...

Check for leakage, my was getting only about 15km/L before, found out the Carburator and Fuel C0ck was leaking. After the repair, I was getting roughly 20km/L.

Hi guys, my G4 fairings are up for sale. Left with Headlight set; side panels; rear mud/chain guard. Paintwork and stickers are in very good condition. Black with white reflective stickers. Going for S$150/- Sms me at 90403005.

Maybe u can start by servicing ur carbs.

 

And checking the air filter.

 

My gd fren did the servicing of carbs and change the airfilter(had a hole 2yrs no change)

 

His fc changed frm 13km/l before servicing to now 20-19km/l.

Hi guys,

 

Need some help with my GSX400RR.

 

Last tuesday, I went to Gelang Patah during lunch time to top up petrol, end up, my bike broke down halfway through the 2nd link highway up towards Malaysian checkpoint.

 

Problem:

Riding at 170km/h when a thud was heard and suddenly engine losses power. RPM = 0. Clutch in and tried to start while cruising down lifelessly on the road shoulder to no avail. Stopped bike, off and on bike and try to start. But still not successful. Then noticed smoke coming up (not out) from the left side on the engine below the block head. Looked down and saw engine oil splashed on the inner side of the fairing. Noticed a chipped metal below the block head.

 

Had to shamelessly ask a Malaysian "kapcai" rider to help push my bike all the way back to Singapore before calling tow truck.

 

Questions:

a: Has anyone ever encounter this problem before?

b: If so, what is the approximate cost to repair?

c: Is it worth it to repair?

 

Currently, the bike is at the workshop. Workshop just opened today, so cannot confirm what is the main problem yet. I really need to know how much will it cost, most importantly, because I am in a tight-budget with my wedding next year.

 

If some of the details are not clear, please highlight, and I will try to assist.

sounds serious bro, i cant help with the first two questions, but the last one is pretty easy.

 

the g4 is an old bike, and any major repairs involving the engine are definitely not worth it, unless you're planning to restore this bike.

bro, sounds like piston ceased. one scenario might be ur eo nut came off splashing all ur eo out, leading to piston cease. Is it white smoke? if it is, then it's the piston alright. Worth it or not? My take is not, unless u are never going to sell it away ever. Anything to do with engine rebuild is not cheap. I had the same problem with my r1 3yrs back.

 

How i come to a decision was that i took into consideration that i have to spend alot and my bike was already 7yrs old, therefore, for the amount im going to spend...how much can i actually make back if i sell given the age. From there you will know if it's worth.

 

Hope whatever decision you make, is the right one for you. Anyway congrats on the coming big day next year. Cheers!
