The meter circuit board on my spec 1 facing this problem that the indicator for showing the fuel and milleage had been blacken. The meter cover had a crack causing water and vapour to sip in. Anyone had any idea how much do it cos for the spec 1 meter and circuit board plus the meter cover? Where to get will be cheaper? My shop quote me 400+ for the meter circuit board and 100 for meter cover.

No..timing chain or cam chain don't make sound like that. Its your "shim" and one or so being 'offset'..but will sync with the rest after sometime. But fi the ticking sound gets louder and and in a prolong period of two weeks or so,,time to have the faulty shim replace or vavle clearance done.:sian:

Original are expensive..can find secondhand is good. Asked a fe shop before committing. If you are on a budget, go get the version type selling from LAB. Its brand new but make in Thailand or China..its less than $300..how well it works..can't say.:sian: Maybe u can buy it and swop certain parts with the old meter..may work much better.

Any ideas bro, which of the 4 bikes you guys will recommend if im looking for gd fuel consumption, stability and power n speed of cause. heard that ver s n r does not have any power cut?

ver s ver r and the rare spec1 (no vtec) version is more or less the same in terms of fc, stability and power. it depends on whether you want vtec or not. if you want then your choice is obvious, hyper vtec aka spec1. if you dun want vtec, your choice is also quite obvious cos ver R and spec1 no vtec (i think only bbdc and probably a few on the road have) is not so easy to come across.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Power cut no prob, if you really want to you can make a spec3 power cut also. But more importantly FC is very subjective.

A bike like S4 is meant for the highways. So if you travel alot in the highway or highway cruising speeds you will get a good FC.

In a normal stop and go city environment it will be lesser.

Also depends on the mods done on the bike.

how about pb1 bro?

PB1 has no power cut. But take note that it is an old bike. So you might have to spend more on repairs before it's in a good condition.

FC consumtion wise most Super 4 models more or less the same.

bro which will u recommend me to get if i have a budget of less than 5k for machine price..?

For 5k machine price, you should be able to get from pb1 - spec 1.

But you should go by the condition of the bike, not the model, just my 2 cents.

Bring a friend who knows about super 4 and survey the shop for the best deals.

Or you can buy from some of the bros selling in the garage sales.

hi s4 bros, my s4 has got a prob, i have a problem to start the bike, when i push the ignition button, no reaction, when i press and hold, sometimes it will start like choking start and sometimes, it doesnt respond at all. this usually happens after i have rode and stop and when i want to start the bike again say after 15mins of rest or so...what could the prob be? mech says it cud be due to the starter carbon, anyone have encountered with this type of prob b4? hope you cn share,thks..:) and also..my bike seems to be draggy and heavy when i throttle up especially at gear 1,2,3,with rpm of 1 t0 4..seems reluctant to respond to the throttle and max speed only up to 140km/hr on speedo..hope some expert gurus can help me out..thks.!
