Hi guys, i notice that that my engine emit streams of hot air from the right side. I check the header and its not leaking any hot air from there. Neither is it coming from the fan blowing at the engine. This stream of hot air is constant. Any idea where the source might have been? Thank you.

If u see steam...it's ur coolant boiling up.... Check for signs of coolant leaking when after a hot sunny ride. This ay due to poor circulation in ur coolant system.

Hi guy, i have been riding cb400 spec1 for 2 years. recently i got this problem on my machine.

when i did not ride for 2 days my bike's battery was totally flat (cant even start).

Then i when to a workshop the mechanic tell me to change magnetic coil, new wiring, rectifier and new original battery.

But then this issue still resurface again after i change for like 2 mths. spend almost 1k to fix this problem but seem like it can't be resolve. if i go back the same workshop sure ask me change battery again.

Does anyone have the same or similar issue?

Or is there anyone can comment on how to find out the problem and solve this as i really don't feel like pumping $ and still problem not solve.

Commonly they will say batt spoilt. Change batt 1~2 weeks later flat again they will ask you to change rect or coil or both altogether. Normally bike shop will ask you to change the 3 things- Coil, Rectifer and batt seldom ask you to change wiring. If they tested properly at the first place wouldnt ask you to change all these parts 1 by 1 or all at once. You should go back ask them what happened again now? Maybe the bike shop will ask you to change whole bike now. You have to ask them to pin point fault. Go to a shop you trust. Mostly I nvr go back to the same shop if still cannot solve the second time. Those parts they changed are original or recon parts? Juding from 1 k spent should be orginal. If batt faulty change batt but rect must be able to charge it without going over 15v (if I not wrong otherwise your rect is faulty). Use a multi meter to test Voltage (left side of your side board where there is rubber hiding a fuse). if unsure you can go find Ah Pek for more advise. Very helpful and friendly biker (at most costs you a packet of Kopi O). Erm.. maybe 2 packet now since inflation so high these days and bike shop chopper so sharp. Cheers bro

hey ppl..got my spec two bout two months back..bike was okay when i bought it..after a month of riding,,the bike started to lose power..its rather sluggish in terms of pick up as well as cruising on 3rd and 4th gear onwards..my mech then told me to change my clutch plates and so i did..i then changed my chain and sprockets,k&n airfilter, front and back wheel bearings as well as wash and tune my carbs..after tat it was smooth for only a week before it started being sluggish again..there was also once when i was riding on pie,my pipe started making tis *BOBOK* sound as if it was breaking down however i clutch in and throttle multiple times and after sumtime it got back to normal..its as if the bike was about to sieze...

i nid the bros here to lend me a hand regarding tis complication of my bike..btw could the suiggish response of my bike be due to eo? cause i juz tried using motul 5100 apart from my ows 8000...thanks ppl hope to hear from u guys soon...

Hi,

Sorry if this was asked before.

What is the difference between CB400SF PI vs Agent set other than the pricing and available colors?

Is there any difference in terms of engine, some features, accessories, warranty etc?

Which one is more recommended to buy? PI or Agent?

Thanks

Hi all,

Doing a price check here from all the expert here.

Yesterday change my left hand switch module (the one with high beam low beam, horn and signal switch) due to my horn intermittent problem (some time press got sound some time dun) Cost me around $150. Wondering is this the price for an original part?

Now the left side look so new and i am itchy to change my right side (the electrical start button) because that button will depress after i press. That engineer that serve me told me that one cost $160-$170. :dot:

Anyone change this module before?

Second hand about $70, first hand about $120 for high and low beam. Might be the workmanship $30. So the price is around there. Right side one $140-$150. Workmanship is the excess for the amount. So it's also around there. Cos left side got more wires to attach, signal, horn, high and low beam. Right Side less wires, but need to be more precise because its the starter switch. U wouldn't want it to drop out after riding now would we? Cos if it drops out while u were riding, u park, u switch off, the next time u wanna ride again, it can't start. Tow truck compulsory, or u have to DIY. Both also troublesome.

luQ, it could be that the button is just stuck below. it happened to my spec 3 once as i pushed too hard :sian:. the 'button' would seem ok on the outside as the rubber pops up normally however the real button is actually stuck below. what i did was slowly push the rubber down and try to feel the position of the real button then lightly push the rubber in the opposite direction to unstuck it. this worked for me, hopefully it can work for you too ;)

Just got a problem with my s4. When I turned the ignition key on, not a single thing turned on (no headlight, no neutral light) Naturally I tried everything else like the ignition, no crank. Horn also nothing.

Battery is a little over a year old, Yuasa brand. I don't think the battery can be totally flat until nothing comes on right? I wanted to check the fuse and rectifier just now but I had to rush home. My gut feeling says it's the main fuse. Advises please.

Yah..likely main fuse..green color..same like car type..30 Amps rating. If no spare..just take a strand of wire (not too thick)..just stripe from one end of the fuse terminal leg to the other end of the fuse leg..than plug it in as a temporary use.

Stupid Hurts!.:giddy:Speed doesn't kill, mistakes does :faint:

BEER!...it's cheaper than fuel now! DRINK!..DON'T RIDE!

Just checked the main fuse, still intact and didn't blow. I changed it with the spare one, but still didn't work. Rectifier looks fine, I don't know how to check if it's spoilt or not.
