Why i keep seeing motogp when on sg roads we dont really go over 100km/h??? Or do cornering really low? With our tyre size, how low can we go also?

Anyway in cases of emergency, my natural reaction tends to pull in everything, incl clutch lever too. Sends the bike flying even faster. Wont even think of tap braking.

Ride safely, dont speed, dont weave, and ur chances of accidents will be lowered by a lot already.

I dun understand liao... U wan change the whole foot rest ah? If that's so, i think by seeing u know cannot liao. Speent 300+ buy the adjustable footrest bah

It's not the footrest tat u are uncomfortable with... It more on the levers' angle. Tat can be adjusted.

bro then would u mind helping me adjust the angle :cheeky:

If u notice, rear brakes disc are smaller and onli one compare to 2 big disvc infront... That is to minimise the braking force pressure apply for the rear. Now look back to our R15, onli one disc brake infront compare to two on ur r1.

It's good to apply both brakes at the time as it minimise shifting center of gravity too much. Motogp doesn't use rear brakes because they use engine brake on the rear wheel to control their speed.

Rear brakes are very good at low speed control. At open roads like SG, emergency brakes are also often required. If rely onli front brakes how to brake in time. Onli on tracks or when u wanna race on open roads then it's right to say use less on rear brakes as u are utilizing engine shifting braking method.

BUT. Open roads are full of dangers. Race there are onli for the bigger balls cheaper life ppl... =P

agreed wit you bro... jus use both brake but dun lock both wheels can le... dun speed.. ride safe... dun follow front vehicle too close....

welcome to my world of darkness....... HUAT AR!!!!

wait wait! don't change topic! anyone who has installed the spy alarm on their bike can advise me? how u disarm it for a long period of time to wash bike do chain oiling etc ah?

Speed is about control, control comes from your wrist.

An accident will cause you to lose your wrist, which in turns leads to losing control and eventually speed.

Think twice before twisting your wrist.

got a problem, where do i get a r15 at a better price and probably longest installment?

OTR price of the R15 or any bike for that matter is dependent on your age, experience and prevailing COE prices which at the moment is $1320..

why do you want to drag the installment to the longest? Just fyi the longer you drag the more interest you pay.. spend within your means and not stretch your budget to the limit otherwise you won't have any savings for a rainy day..

firstly good luck with your test yeah.. and i think you need to rest soon to perform well in the test tomorrow..

For your age the insurance will be rather expensive across the board though so far cheapest for me is still AXA.. $760 for me 24Y.O 2 years exp.. Expect to go higher than my quote coz u get 'penalized' for having a p-plate and 0 experience on the road.. For machine price i got mine from WYM, not the cheapest but i got my previous bike from there so yeah.. Overall my OTR was 8.4k w/o interest plus interest is 9.4k... I'm paying $218 for 36 months.

Edit: A more precise breakdown

Outstanding loan on my spark: $1600

Value of spark(Trade in): $2300

Amount left after paying loan: $700 ($2300-1600)

OTR price of R15: $8340

Downpayment:$1540 ($700 from spark, $840 cash)

Loan taken from WYM: $6800

Interest for 3 year loan is 15%

Interest: $1020

Payment term: 35 months $218 1 month $190

Nett price of R15 (include road tax, IU, interest etc): $9360
