hey R15 riders, may i ask, whats the top speed of this machine that u some of u guys have accomplish??

 

hit 141 before..but only once..lol..so far can hit 130++ easily..

 

our bike yamaha says 135km/hr max la. but so far i only try till 130 but

still can go just didnt want to.LOL cos it's vibrating like no one's biz cos of the power cut.

 

Haha yeahh..! but ever since i added balancer and changed tail, seems like there's less vibrations..i think mainly due to the lowered seat frm the new tail..

you change exhaust and air filter easily hit 150km/hr.and if you think that's not fast.wanna compare with sp,kr,tzm pls their speed dometer not that accurate.i've try going at about 100+km on a needle speedo while my r15 fren ride beside me.on his digital speedo only about 90km. -.-

yeah i know 2stroke and 4stroke different so what i'm trying to say is that we cant really compare them.

And 1st i would like to ask who are the ones who say R15 is like a kub kia with fairings?are they riding R15?

Just alittle thing i experience today along paya lebar.i ride pass this x1r with his pillion.and stop at the traffic light.that dude caught up with me stop right next to me.(in my mind i was thinking wtf this guy want find trouble is it?) BUT guess what's the 1st thing he say? WOAH Bro!your bike chio sia!you just buy right?

Wah so heng ar, must be a heng heng bike. Without P-plate it does look better, but i dun wanna risk getting caught ar. Hai, got to spend another $10, but wat i hate most is having stranger touchie my bike without consent... Gonna put bike cover liao.

yup, i noe about this speedo problem thing, bcoz i myself am riding sp rite now. if itz true of what u say about the changing of air filter and exhaust. i might consider taking this bike then. and i agree with you, the body of this R15 is damn chio. 1 more question, changing the air filter, u must be refering to the open pod K&N filter right? if changing that, will it abuse the engine? because of rain, as you noe, water must not get into it. when my sp use the open pod filter, bike damn hard to start after raining daes. pls advise dude.. :-)

there are many ways to change the air filter. One way I learnt from these good ppl of the forum, is to use a Malossi filter..you just need a little mod to the airfilter box and you can feel the difference when riding..been using it for nearly a year now, no complaints at all..

Hi bro, A new R15 should be around 7.9k. cuz i just gt mine last week at this price. with the new COE of course of 2k and 1 dollar. insurance have to depends on ur riding exp and age.

Distance: 46 km from Tuas Second Link (total distance to & fro will be 92 km)

Average speed: 90-110km/h on e'pressway.

Where to Meet: SHELL PETROL STATION Boon Lay (near Jurong Point) Singapore 649960.

 

 

 

 

What to bring:

1. Cashcard

2. Touch 'N Go

3. Cash (RM) to eat dinner, fill up petrol, cigarettes etc etc.

4. Raincoat

5. Pillion (if applicable, hehe)

 

What to wear:

1. Riding Jacket (if you have one; if not, normal jacket is suffice to keep you warm)

2. Jeans (strictly no bermudas, unless you want nice stripes formed on your legs by the small stones on the road)

3. Shoes (strictly no sandals/slippers please!)

4. Light colored clothings since we will be going around evening time.

 

Some side information..

 

To those who have not tried the Nasi Lemak at Kulai, I would personally recommend it as it is nicer than the Boon Lay Nasi Lemak or the Changi Nasi Lemak. Plus, it is also a chance for us to have a nice riding session!

 

For those who worry about venturing into foreign land, I can give you my fullest assurance that you will be well taken care of. We will all adhere to the speed stated above and no one will be left behind.

Guys i went to uni motor today. gt one guy recommmened me take the rear change to bt090(120/70). he say better then bt039(120/80). Anyone of u guys took tat tire?
