When my colleagues ask me why I buy a bike and not a car, I point to the fact that

a) COE is crazy for cars

b) where am I going to park a car in this crowded country

c) also, a bike is how much cooler can.

p87

d) no cars can win a bike @ expressways during peek hours :p lol

Hi guys,I am pleased to share with all riders of R15s,a value for money & better discounts on engine oils, package servicing, accessories, tail modifications, fairing modifications, full racing support needs and equipment, tours and convoys arrangement. I hope to enhance our rides and bikes in a professional ways.Apparently,I am in my final stage of this great deal and should I succeed,I will post the procedure and hopefully, all riders of R15s will benefit. This is my sincere contribution to this thread and may we enjoy our ride economically yet professionally.Stay tuned!!

Hi Tycokia, idling should be between 1.3 to 1.5 rpm max for normal set up. Idling tends to be inconsistent but it should fall within the range. If u have not start your engine for extended period of time,it tends to go a little higher than 1.5rpm,maybe 1.5 to 1.7,however it should drop to the normal range again. If it did not, then have it checked with a qualified mechanic.

About engine oil,new or old bike deserves good engine oil. Unless budget constraint, full synthetic oil are the best.

I share with u what I learned about engine oil. Full synthetic engine oil provides thin oil viscosity yet able to provide optimum protection of moving parts.Thin oil viscosity enables you to run with maximum efficiency and minimum vibration. Able to withstand high temperature without "evaporating" via vapors.

Full synthetic with esters are of the same good elements with addition of "sticking" onto the moving parts instead of dripping back to the reservoir. This provides lubrication at all times.

Semi synthetic: Thicker oil viscosity meaning smoother engine run but unable to completely churn out maximum power without the usual stronger vibrations. These semi are good for commuting bikes or machines like tractors and tanks!!! Put in simple theory, if u are adding more starch into your dish,it thickens the soup and making your spoon turns harder. Get it?

Mineral oils: The most basic lubricant which still provides the protection at the minimum standards!!

o0... perhaps this explains the vibration that comes from my engine... Will it do any harm if it vibrate too long?

normally semi will be use during the run in and after which fully synthetic will be use all the way.

How about the engine treatment ? Does those liquids really help to keep the engine smooth?
