I asked the shop I bought my bike from.. They say they got no stock mirrors.. Sian.. Also I want to mount gps.. Any ideas how I can do it? I see the handle bar like no space to mount one..

There is one cheap and good option if you using smart phone. Download apps call google map. With one earphone and it will work well.. As we ride and then look at gps might be dangerous if you too focus at the gps... Google map apps will voice guide where to go next.

thanks for the info on the '2012 stock' thingy.. will look out for tt :thumb:

haha. No prob! We are here to share! haha.

Had seen saddle bag mostly for naked bike. A couple of people I knew need to extend a "rack" structure to hold it altogether. Else the saddle bag will flop inwards and maybe cause some damage to the bag or chain or something. High-tail bike especially (your's a V2?)

Weight and FC give and take, have to work around that. Else tank bag is the most economical way for your situation then. Documents, helmet, stuff... Althought not everything at once and you prob have to walk around with it.. Some even came convertible to bagpack. This issues have been a long standing problem for bike storage problem.. Very hard to find a compromise where you have best of everything.. else you will need to ride Honda Goldwing or tourer already.

Saddle bag in general does not have security supporting features hence you need to always remove it from your bike. It came with a velcro at the mid-joint of the mid-sections. So the traditional and the most reliable way... Boxes.

Air filter comes in the panel form (your original kind) or the cone form. R15s can use both type. Mine was cone; simota and cost me 20 over.

Why it is better because the inlet is larger and you can allow more air to pass through. And it efficiently traps dust and can re-use and wash. Generally strictly speaking, in Japan they change their air filter every 100,000. (and a whole loads of stuff and things to observe). I pre-determine to have mine clean at that mileage. Of course, they have the official washing kit for the stipulated brand.

There is no way to top up coolant without removing the side fairing and your coolant level is normal, don't worry. cause your bike is slanted. I tried topping up to near max line and have it sipping out when I was riding. eventually the level drop to a quarter to 'max' as before and it remains there for the longest time. Take that as a guide.

Which shop recommend for buying the saddle bag. maybe i can go to the shop physically try out suitable or not.

I using original exhaust so i remain using the original air filter should be ok and if the change after market exhaust i have to change air filter, right?

When i checked the coolant level i put my bike up right not slanted so it is normal?

Like mentioned in your other thread, your best bet is to custom a rack to fit on your saddle bag (The ergo of the v2 tail is not that suitable for supporting a saddlebag. You wouldn't want random stuffs like straps or anything getting caught among the rear moving parts)

Alternatively, you can install top box, compromising the aesthetic and aerodynamics of the bike (depending on the size of the box and all, handling might be somewhat compromised slightly)

Say if you don't mind the hassle, why not just hook your helmet as it is on your pillion seat, and use a bike cover?

I used a tank bag, so I just fit everything in and stick on my tank lol. Feels better than riding with a backpack on. But if your objective is not to carry those stuffs around, a top box might be the best solution for now.

On a side note, I see the flames going on here .. chillax all .. This post is just my personal experience and opinions .. Dont flame me =X

I preferring side box or saddle bag cause top box will totally spoil the look. i never consider tank bag before maybe i can try out. Any recommend shop for me to look for tank bag or saddle bag?

Try motoworld for their saddle bags and tank bags. You can find brands like Bagster, Komine and such there. At the same time you can source for your bike cover while over there as well.

If you're looking for a cheap tank bag, you can get a decent one to try out at Helmetboys. Quality isn't that good, but it does its job (riding in SG only. Not yet tried overseas, but how fast can our bike go anyway xD )

Feel free to try out there and see what fits your style

If the bike is still new, it could be manufacturer defect. If the bike is pre owned, look at the front suspension, is it lowered than stock? If lowered, then that is the main culprit. I tried to advice many customers from doing that cos it will jeopardize their safety,as well as damaging the suspension bottom out faster. A lowered front suspension is not the key to a good cornering as rumored but its the technique tat matters

Fellow Riders,

As some has feedback regarding their views on several postings, i have personally read through postings & have a few comments of myself. Across the board, no arrows attached

1. Joining at an early date doesn't means I senior nor know the most of stuffs. Vice Versa

2. Riding a bigger bike doesn't means 2B riders are kids nor i know the most knowledge. Vice Versa

3. SBF provides this platform as a form of sharing knowledge, knowing more friends, gathering for outings, etc etc but non negative nor personal. Its your posting, SBF doesn't post.

4. As a human being regardless race, age, gender, etc, be humble. It pays. Not sure, ask. 1 answer doesn't means its correct. Double confirm. Ask again. wanna be triple sure? no one stopping you. Internet is your best friend. Google/yahoo/watever search engine is your best buddy

Short to say, old doesn't means good. Young doesn't means ignorant. More importantly, willing to eat the humble pie. SBF provides, you post, others read. Whatever i (personally) do, 50/50. I never know whats replies/actions i receive next.

I see that the issue has more or less been settled thus this post is only a friendly reminder to all.

Hope you enjoy riding as much or more than i do.

Regards,

Quincy
