hEllo Bros Out There!

I need some help here.. I'm kinda attracted to the R15 but there is a few problems i come by

1st: I have been driving a CBF 150 for almost 3 years and never ride a Sports Bike before... is the handling and control totally different from riding a Street Bike cornering more dangerous? etc... Kindly advise...

2nd: My height is about 1.63m only.. Am I suitable for this bike? I have also went to a few shops and tried... And kinda need to tip toe to stand straight.. i find it quite dangerous because I have the same problem when i just pass my TP 3 years ago and bought the CBF 150 cos is kinda tall also until i cut the seats

Hopefully some experience seniors will help me out there

Thanks in advance, look forward hearing from you guys soon!

Hello Bros Out There!

Kinda attracted to R15.. have a few questions and hope some seniors out there can give me some feedbacks

I'm thinking of changing to R15 but i have been riding CBF 150 will it be very different in terms of handling, cornering, maneuvering between cars during jams etc... (more dangerous den CBF 150)?

I have went to a few shops and actually try seating on it.. its kinda tall for me i have to tip toe when the bike is in standing position which i felt is dangerous because i have the same problem with the CBF 150 when i just bought it after i pass my TP until i went to cut the seats... Is CBF 150 taller or R15 taller?

Thanks alot hope to hear from you guys soon!

Hello Bros,

I'm thinking of changing to R15 but i have been riding CBF150 the day i pass until now... so i was wondering if the handling cornering maneuvering between cars during jams is different? (R15 is more dangerous as is a sports bike?)

I have also went to a few shops and try seating on it.. but i need to tip toe when im in the stand position i find it dangerous because i face this problem when riding the CBF150 until i cut the seats ( anyway to solve this problems? ) is CBF more tall or R15?

Thanks in advance, look forward hearing from you bros soon!

seems like u tio carrot head deep deep, or the interest is a KILLER, if not how come total 10k+. its not like ur insurance is 1k more than others? but i think u drag too long for a 2b bike.

example my old cbr150 brand new, total price about 5k plus or 6k, 4yr down the road, selling at 2.5k is already consider exp. a typical maybe not that nice outlook maybe 1.5k to 2k nia.

pls check ur insurance exact price for the 1yr, then we can deduce how much u bought the bike for =)

if dun have, u can call ur insurer to check.

u will not just lugi on the low selling price, but also the difference from the total 10k i think.

im abt 1.68 and i still need to tiptoe abit.

generally u just need to adapt to the position.

even gt those 1.5m ppl ride class2 bikes.

so this shldnt be a problem.

the difference shld only be ur position is more inclined foward.

u might feel the strain on ur back in longer trips.

i'm also tip toe-ing, am 169, coz normally when you stop on the road.. ur left leg will be down and ur right leg will be on the rear brake... so doesn't really matters IMO.

R15 is a sports bike, definitely handling is better... cornering and such dun need say bah. most sports bikes sure better then street bikes.

BUT why street bikes? because they are more comfortable to ride on streets! u will need to get use to sports bikes... starting will sure hand pain/numb, back sore and many more. but after u get use to it--> :thumb:

eh no leh,I not Roy..lol.. I down for a r15(yellow).. =)

yo bro... if annual 5%, add everything up, ur bike still 10 K onwards leh. which should not be the case... u sure u bought R15? LOL nv heard R15 so ex...

most likely the shop add alot of hidden cost, or u can so called interest rate is a killer. the longer u hold the bike u lugi more or the longer u hold the bike more worth it. u better go consider this part.

at 5k machine price, insurance 1.3k, max also 7k? if haven add coe then about 8k.

interest is like 2 - 3k out of a 5yr loan. every yr $400-600.

at 8k, $400 is like 5percent, reasonable, guess u down payment too low liao maybe? but if at 600 interest is 7.5% = tio chop(or they added hidden cost which u nv check).

cos he only down 900, if u add machines price + coe + insurance. n interest over 5yr. even at 5% * 5 = 25percent of the amount which have to be sum up with interest.

support u bro...been using the bike for quite some time wif stock tyre...corner wif it countless of times...and thank god...the tyre still good....

I've been using the stock MRF tires for a month as well and so far I havent

felt it slip. It seems to grip pretty well when I corner from TPE to KPE. I've

e-braked on it a couple of times and so far its holding up.

The only time I feel that my bike is moving a little sideways is when its windy in TPE and I think thats applicable too most bikes/tires.

think can sell for $2k++ for a 2yrs plus CBF150 on the forum's garage sales.

You got 2A license ma? if got go for the honda Twister, price wise a little bit more then R15 only, but confirm more satisfying n powerful than R15.. fuel consumption also quite good, abt 30km/l.. i myself a bit regret buying this bike wor, tires too skinny.. lack of power..

that time shd tahan until 2A then buy the twister.. now too late liao..
