Do gentlemen like yourself bring anything to Yishun Dam? All I can think of is to take pictures of many Phantoms in one place...

[ No, never was involved in any meets since 2003, lol ]

Have to ride out early this morning so demurred from the midnight dam.

I'm thinking of introing a certain very interesting road to the newer PK riders before the next Saturday Yishun dam meet if any. Say, meet up at the same Bishan MSCP at around 10pm and head west on the PIE to do my "Hell's Highway Rally" course in pitch darkness then proceed to Yishun Dam via Kranji after supper :3

Veteran riders of course have been through old LCK road before but for new riders like me who haven't had any touring experience this is a low-risk local way to get acquainted with Malaysian riding conditions and this sort of story results:

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=281679

Let me know if any one interested for value-added dam outing next week and I'll gladly do up a briefing package complete with road course & map, and even lesson plan. Would benefit more the new riders & boring for old timers, but hey, Phantom convoys are so fun :)

appreciate and respect your effort and enthusiasm.

but riding in sg and in msia is very different, what is applicable to sg roads might not be applicable on msia highways and trunk roads. e.g: riding in unlit roads @ above speeds of 80kmh, you don do that on rifle range rd do you? rifle range road is what the closest you can compare to msia roads in terms of darkness but the similarities ends here.

come join us for fno if you want to start learning how to ride in msia, convoy style where it is really beginner friendly, learn and pick up the necessary skills, from there you can proceed to bigger things and missions...

Class 2B - 26/03/2009

Class 2A - 01/06/2010

Class 3 - 10/07/2009

Rides(s)

1) Honda TA150 - 20/04/2009 to 31/08/2014

2) Honda CB400 Ver S - 12/07/2014 to ???

Definitely would :3 but no passport. I don't intend to apply for a new M'sian PP as I'm finding ways to get a SG citizenship thru corporate sponsor if possible. Will take me a long time to get a SG PP. Getting SG citizenship is a must for long term personal safety due to family situation.

The most I can do for FNO in the meantime is escort convoy to the checkpoint :p

@ Ice & KM - glad to have you along; don't worry about my Yamaha Hell Rider Syndrome ™ because I just found a tofu-smooth cruising rpm lol. Spent today morning working on in-gear acceleration revving up and down all over Changi Service Road scaring all the ang moh cyclists. Then cruised randomly until eventually reaching home past lunchtime.

If we're having another washing session next Sat (pending organiser approval) then I suggest we try and combine into one marathon Phantom session if time permits. This will give us 3-4 short range convoy sessions in 1 day (including morning rendevous and makan runs). Can do rally earlier so we are not so drawn out.

Or if we don't have a wash meet then it's easy to do rally + Yishun Dam. We will pass Kranji Dam too so you can have a look at how it's like in the evenings : Totally dark and deserted, bring your M16 or SAR21 if scared lol.

Just keep a lookout for TP doing vietcong style ambush towards the end. We can flash them our awesomely colourful and shiny screaming phoenixes...

Ps. Is it just me or does it take a really long time to use up petrol in the Phantom? Only used 5 litres of Shell95 from Friday until now (and you saw how I drive :p). That is a good thing, of course! Not as incredible economy as Bajaj Pulsar but sure as hell much more fun.

Once again there is no commercial motive for participation - ride for the fun of it in a group, and DO NOT race.
