when i going back from SNM, first hump by the reservoir from the dam, i f0rg0tten about the hump..............

 

i think im in in 4th gear revving throttle at 60km/hr, bike barely felt any impact at all, have slight sensation of flying. then g0t awoke, see liao tio shocked, the humps, i travel at 2nd gear also can felt the hump there, 4th gear 60km felt nothing. wooohooo sibeh lucky.

That's one benefit of our pillow-like suspensions

 

And yes it's possible to mitigate the effects of bumps by going faster over them! But if you don't get the weight transfer / preload timing right it's dangerous lol.

this reminds me of those new mercedes and bmw's, when they over small humps, the body is not moving at all. only wheels goes up and suspension compressed but body like not moving, i assume sitting inside will be bloody comfortable

Even better are Citroens with their hydropneumatic suspensions. No matter how bad the road is, you don't feel a thing.

 

Some models are so advanced you can drive thru South Buona Vista Rd at 80kph because the suspension compensates for lateral weight transfer too. (My late dad took a test drive like that more than 10 yrs ago and it was more scary than any roller coaster lol.)

 

But in this day and age of Audi S4s, Porsche 911 turbos and the omgwtfbbq Nissan GT-R such feats might as well be commonplace... if the driver is up for the challenge!

 

Back to your hump thing it's actually good you didn't jam brakes before the hump. Mine did a stoppie

i could't find any good mounts for my nokia phone lehz... those handphone mount from nokia is for cars only...

 

i right now using temp handphone pouch only..
