Hey chris, went to Mah Motors yesterday to try the AT. With right foot up, left foot still tiptoe. But, now i m sure i can handle the AT if the seat is lower by another 1.5in n suspension lower

 

now thinking shld i get brand new or used New cost $17.5k OTR. Comments

actually all depends on u... if u are satisfied with AT n intend to stay with AT long lets says at least 5 years... i better to get new cos more practical.. ease of problem...

 

but of course second hand will be cheaper.. if u can find an cheap AT about 9k that have a good engine... stock condition, do it up most most costs another 1.5k+ == 10.5k+ (8 more years okie what)

 

colour i like == black AT with tank bran headlight shield.....

 

i can get first hand cos no $$$.. .. see which is better dun let me influence u ..

 

but if ever can AT .. can let me sit on the bike itself??....

bikey, wat ever u do dun ever go and reduce the amount of cushion jus to get the height lower, cos yr butt going to suffer during long trips. i suggest u look into the suspension instead.

If ur fuel pump is spoilt, there will b no fuel flowin into e carbs. So ur bike will cease... majiam like no fuel like tat even though there is still fuel in ur tank... i suspect ur timing is out or piston rings worn out... does ur engine oil level go down(burnt)?

Hey bro Thks for the advice did tot of it too cos the AT seat quite narrow By the way , have u seen the AT Corbin seat ?

 

Was thinking maybe that may be a different approach from reducing the stock seat Afterall, Corbin is a famous seat maker

hmm... i dun tink ur piston rings worn out since there is no reduction in ur eng. oil n i assumed tat there is no white smoke comin out of ur exhuast rite? go n check ur timing... might be out n tat will cause a reduction in power bcos e firing sequence is out.. 180km/h is e top 4 all ATs includin mine except tose modded.

roofie> u cant adjust ur timing urself bcos we dun hv e proper tools. go 2 a reputable bikeshop n hv urs check 1st b4 u do anyting 2 ur AT. If ur timing is out, b prepared 2 fork out ard $200(not so sure bcos hvnt done tat 2 my AT). remember 2 ask e mechanic whether ur timing is too fast or too slow.. if fast by less than 5degrees, itz ok n u can dun do anyting to ur bike. If slow by any degree(as long as it's slow), u need to adjust e timing liao bcos e power is much reduced by it.

yah stock S4 can go up to 190, if you're looking for something that can hit 200 or above, get a vara, vstrom or TDM which are also in your flavor of bikes

Machine price difference between AT and Vara is only $400 during in July when the bike shop offer me. Cos of the insurance thingy and tank too big for my size, i took AT.

u guys ride ur At to dessert or big sandy areas to cheong or not ...then can let the bike show its potenitial...where its best at...if not....get a so big cc bike yet top speed lose to a lousy stock s4...hmmmmm..i see no point....or maybe just maybe ...want the bike to create a image for u ....another word=>Poser.

i dun think u guys so boliao lah hor...spend nearly 20 K just to pose....

bro... everybody some how or rather wants an image including you and me or else why do we trim our hair... shave etc... i got myself an AT cause of several reason.. its comfortable especially touring.. economical as singapore roads is not for speed. fuel consumption is low including maintenance. anyway its an endurance bike lah... i'm looking forward to a trip to kl or maybe thailand...
