Bore and stroke

The bore is the diameter of the cylinder, the stroke the vertical distance between the highest and lowest points in the piston's travel. A shorter stroke usually allows higer revs.

 

Compression ratio

When the piston is at the bottom of its stroke, the volume above it is the total volume. When it's at the top of its stroke, the volume is the clearance volume. The ratio between these two is the compression ratio. An engine with a higher compression ration will squeeze its fuel/air mix harder and create more power

Wave125S stroke is 57.9MM

 

Which means SparkZ has a higher rev than Wave and consume higher petrol consumption than Wave? I guess that's why they make the tank 4.5litres.

 

I think I still prefer wave which is more economical on the petrol.

:cheeky: woooo nice explaination think of it also quite ture hor small CC nees higher rev to move off there for consume more fuel by teh way me like to add one thing is that WAVE dry weight is 93.5 while Spark Z is 97....

so heavier too cause higher fuel consumption:smile: :smile:

U want lighter and faster ? Look for my thread about Suzuki Smash 110. That's lighter and faster but also consume more petrol!

I will be collecting my sparkz soon. Would just like to know is it true that Hong Leong offer 3 times free service, oil n labour included, for this bike? Also , how u like the bike so far if u r riding one?

Should be la free 3 time servicing if u buy from hong leong. If u buy from other private shop they will say labour only free. Engine Oil have to pay. For me i buy from private shop n after i collect my bike I change engine oil myself! much easier and economy just cost me $5.15! My first engine Oil change is after 400km.

 

As for riding i guess it should be the same like Honda Wave cause it is a four stroke bike. Ride safely dude.

i'm riding sparkZ...it's a very gd bike..easy to service and the pick up is very gd:bounce:

Hi , u got 3 free oil change at hong leong? I also just bought my sparkz and the warranty cum service booklet state that oil and other material r chargeable for the free service. Or isit all brand new Sparkz got free 3 oil change by default?

Now Shell Advance SX 4T increase liao! Now is $5.50 per bottle. Increase $0.35. I think i will run to use Mobil 4T liao. Just $5.10 for one bottle!

another sparkz rider here..so far no engine probs..reaching for my 3000km mark soon...btw,how often d'you guys change the engine oil..so far, i've only changed twice, every 1000km..bought e bike from ATAN & have to pay for the engine oil.

Usually pple would change engine oil at 2000km to keep engine in tiptop condition. If more to budget side can change every 2500km or 3000km. For me I always change 2500km. It's all individual.

 

Mineral 4T change every 1500-2000km.(Max)

Semi synthetic change every 2000-2500km.(Max)

Fully synthetic change every 4500-5000km.(Max)
