yo fufu bro, i encountered "choking" rpm idling during that time my fuel cap leaked and water was mixed with my petrol. supposely thought is throttle body, but end up its my petrol with water that cause the unstable idling. I am not sure if your asthmatic problem is which i have described?

 

I also have 1 idling problem...Recently, everytime when the bike is cold and when the bike is warming up, normally the idling will be higher till the bike is heated and ready to go, then it will lower the idling to normal which is about 1.2k +-.... But now instead of reducing the rpm after warming up, the rpm increased to 2k!! And worst part is, it maintains at 2k everytime i clutch in or in neutral... However i discover that this prob subsides after riding the bike for about 4-5 min. Its making the bike hot very fast too.....

 

I am not sure where is the problem coming from (throttle, throttle cable, throttle body butterfly valves???) Would like to check around if anyone experienced this before?

the puzzled mech opened up my tank (sadly i've topped up full tank on my way back) suspected that there's water in it....true enough!! got water!!!

clear the water and add in the additives to 'clean' that fella internally (i cant remember which one...OWS i guess), the bike behaved for a good 2 months? before the prob starts again.....one of e reason i decided to sell her away :weep:

July 04 - June 05: Krr 150

Sept 05 - Apr 07: CBR400RRR

Apr 07 - Apr 10: R1

June 10 - July 11: X1

Mar 11 - ???: 1198

Heard mech says that its common problem for fuel cap leakage on yamaha bikes, so i change the fuel cap and ever since, the problem never comes back again. Now new problem comes... lolz

I think got 2 riders feel shiok cos got to smoke me on the roads. One CBR1000 and the other, an R1. They see my bike only, from the back overtook me very fast. Running in time, can lah. After running in also still can cos Uncle Aie is a poser, not a racer...:cheeky:

i feel shiok when Abang riding super4 with loud pipe look at me like a rider riding a piece of trash (when i riding my X1)..me and my gf will always giggle... :lol:
