alot of problems are just ur own imaginations.. i also often think some where on my bike got problem... but after getting the same sounds over and over again.. i decided... ur bike got problem only when it cant move.. other than that.. just whack it like how u whack ur wife!

Loose timing chain will have tick tick sound either during warm up or fully warm up..It doesnt happen during high speed..

 

But with with a Manual Cam Chain Tensioner, it's hard to adjust until cold/warm no tick tick sound...And my best bet is to adjust when it's fully warm up for riding...

 

If anyone needs help to getting a APE MCCT from a reliable overseas seller, feel free to PM me for the link and contact.

 

Prices definitely more worth than getting it locally where it could cost around $150 for it.

Jus to share. I also experience something like this early this year. oh.. btw i'm riding a 05. Got irritated, went to do a valve clearance (initially) then find out that the source of the sound was b cos of a exhaust valve was bended. This was cos by the valve knocking against the valve guide as the hole in the valve guide was widen due to wear & tear. In the end, i change the bended valve and all the 8 valve guides for the exhaust valves to fix the problem + a full engine overhaul due to my back side itchy. Cos me a bomb!!!

if the tickin sound can be heard everytime u rev ur engine, think u better open ur engine n check. It is most likely have something 2 do with ur valve. Better 2 b safe than sry.

Jus my suggestion....
