Yea bikeshop check le , e fuse box 3rd one keep blowing . It's e coil spoilt tat lead to battery spoilt n my ecu also spoilt . Now I need to buy e ecu,ignition n the key . Any bro know where can get cheap ? Tried eBay like only sellin e cdi , bikeshop quote mi ard 2k .

CDI and ECU refering to the same item la :slapforehead:

 

Change key is probably for the CDI to reconigze the key chip i think =X

Ignition probably is the hole which ur key goes into lor.. not sure why need to change that though lol.. maybe like i said its to recognize the key chip. The yamaha version of "HISS"

when u change the ignition must change new set of key cause inside the key got a chip,btw not cheap to duplicate though:cool:

i don think so.. just have to change the ECU problem solve .. please do some research be4 u proceed with what the bike shop quote u.

try asking other reputable shop

..don be a radish:)..

if i am not wrong, changing of ECU only need to reprogram the thing for the key, no need to change the ignition.

they look into it liao , and check the fuse 7.5amp one keep burning . is the ECU pro causing the valve not to open .. ,meanin the bike can start etc. but when trottle nth happen..

IF ECU is spoil, u need to change the whole thing and to reprogram the key in order for the ECU to sense and start the bike right?

 

Ignition is there to insert the key in, ECU is the sensor. Unless u even have a problem with inserting the key in then u will need to change the ignition also.

 

So what is the reason for changing the ignition????

 

Maybe we can ask for opinions from other riders to correct me if i am wrong, or to share their point of view and knowledge if possible :smile:

hi all,

 

my 02 r1 recently gave a knocking sound from the engine clutch side and goes away when i clutch in. happened after i change engine oil, oil filter and magnetic drain plug and fuel in reserve.

 

i search online and could only come up with the possibility of clutch basket giving the problem of knocking sound.

 

also the acceleration becomes un smooth, rev will jump when accelerating from 4-5k. in the first place thought i am in reserve that cause fuel not injecting properly but after filling in problems seems to still occur.

 

the latter problem i believed can be solve by balancing when im going for nxt servicing but the knocking problem is giving me headach.

 

anyone knows what might be the problem?

well if that is the case then i dont think need to change the ignition module right?

 

cause the ignition module or whatever technology involved takes the "instructions" from the ECU which is the main control of all the electronic controls in your R1 .... the module or whatever is just the sensor .... key goes in, sensor pass the signal to ECU, ECU sends the "pass or fail" signal back to the module and then that is how u on and start your bike ... am i right to say this?

does this happens occasionally during riding? or this happens every time, say at every gear rpm jumps from 4-5?
