I went to A&W Ayer Keroh before. All I can say is that the food standard has dropped. I wouldn't ride all the way there just for A&W food...

 

but wheres the best place to go riding??? i only know ayer keroh A n W n pagoh RnR stop towards JB the shop Name BUMBU KITO. the NASI AMBANG damn nice n tasty and and and nasi lemak KULAI.... YUMYUM

Anyone here using Akra carbon slip ons for 07-08 model? I've been doing some research on the USA r1 forum and some guys have removed the baffles quite easily, and are easily replaceable - for inspection purposes here, once the bike hits 3 years.

 

I love the look of the akras, not really keen on LV & Arrow for full sys, so thinking midpipe & headers of another brand to mix with the akra cans would be a way for me to go.

 

Anyway, my qn is - for the guys with end cans that have baffles in them - have you removed them? Do you know if it' easy to fix them back in once removed? - I'm sure the construction for every brand is different, but just trying to gather some general intel - because shops selling them will tell you anything to sell em.

I love the look of the akras, not really keen on LV & Arrow for full sys, so thinking midpipe & headers of another brand to mix with the akra cans would be a way for me to go.

 

Anyway, my qn is - for the guys with end cans that have baffles in them - have you removed them? actually all aftermarket exhausts' baffles are very easy to remove and fix back .... u can ask the various suppliers to show u the exhaust end cans and from the mouth of the exhaust, u will be able to see and know

Yup, lo-on did not change the date. Apit has to change though. Change spectacles. Need higher degree ones so can see clearer...

bro there's a srew below the muffle. it can be easily open but be careful when opening it don't let the srew fall off in the muffle. it took me a while if the srew fall off inside the muffle using twizers

How is the Termi compared to the Arrow ? I've got a friend in Melbourne who has arrows on his 1098S, which sounded insane, and the Termis on some of the Dukes here make Harleys sound like pussys (no offense to harley fans - i love em)

erm.. seriously i feel tat once u put on the termi, there is nothing can compare to it leh.. in terms of sounds its damn power esp 102db termi.. in term of looks shape of termi is unique.. and branding of termi is like LV gucci... and of coz price wise.. erm...

Just like heeroyuy_z said it can be easily open below the muffler but for my case putting them back is a bit tricky . You got to align the silencer screw hole and the muffler screw hole in order to turn the screw in .

 

Bro heeroyuy_z next time if the screw fall off inside the muffler , try put some double side tape on the tip off the allen key and stick the screw out . It works for me .

 

One last thing , try to refrain from taking out the silencer in sg road , although its smoother when you throttle , the exhaust note more shiok but its very costly if you get caught

Well, for starters, if you go with termi end cans without the y-pipe and headers, what sound difference should i expect? (meaning just changing the endcans, and leaving the y-pipe and headers STOCK)

 

I'm guessing the honeycomb within the headers/y-pipe truly makes the sound difference - speaking from knowledge about the R6 - so i assume it'd be the same with the r1.

 

Preparing to fork out about 5-6k for the cans, y-pipe and headers really is a substantial investment!
