hey guys, u noe where i can get gaskets for R1 as in piece by piece?? Jus got my ape manual cam chain tensioner.. does not come with gasket... Btw anyone experienced on installing this thing?

Asking on behalf of my friend who is comtemplating about buying an R1 09-10.

 

few questions:

 

1) How much is R1 09-10 machine price?

 

2) Is the bike good for trips to 'atleast' KL?

 

3)Any feedback on the ride?

 

Answer:

 

1) 26k+ machine (from straits times by Hong Leong for 2010 model)

 

2) Ermm.. seat height is quite high, im 1.74m heel of the ground.. 6.5/10 comfort in posture.. so u judge..

 

3) The down side.. lots of vibration, 180-190km b4 hit reserve normal riding, manufacturer defect of cam chain tensioner after 2000km.. (bike will make a rattling sound for 5 secs when cold start) this happens on all 09s not sure about 10s.. yahama produced with new cct but still failed.. from r1-forum members..

Any 09 R1 rider here can share share howz the bike reliability so far? I am seriously thinking of getting one. Can you imagine I go to comm plaza like 3 times last week to keep the bike company.. Any bias unbias comment on 09 r1 will be appreciated

well if u want to fix on your drz, i think motomaster would be better cause R1 brake pumps are too powerful for drz .... just a suggestion

im feeling tat the thief is sum1 in the forums... my guts feeling is very2 strong. i cant pin point but i know who.....

 

 

to the thief after getting my master pump, u get my head lite protector... so after that why not get my full slider set n my RnG full left n right crash cover.... or why no, get my just fix billet triple clamp. its very nice... come2 get it for ur bike.

Is it me? I stay very near you also. You suspected this someone stole your parts, the previous outings he also got join or not? Or when he join the outing you saw his bike got your stolen accessories?

i also stay tamp bro.. so far i havent heard of any such cases around my place.. except for my neighbour's rxz kene taken for joy-ride last month.. looks like preventive measures are the best cure..

Bro , rem me ? Sad to hear you got your stuff stolen by some f**ker out there , hope they will get their retribution and that apply to that f**ker out there who stole my ram3.

 

Btw saw your above post on the sweet things you got on your bike , can tell me more on the billet triple clamp you fixed , better if you can post some pics.
