Personally, i never believe in one particular brand..... always look at the final product. Some of the major manufacturers of bikes have come out with some totally crap bikes.... same with tires.

Also folks.... I am sure it's been said before, get the tire which suits your riding style. Getting a set of made in china rubber waste product for blasting 200+km/h is just as suicidal (on your life) as is using a set of SC2's for communting inside the CBD area (this time on your wallet).

Dunlop has always been a proven to be good tyres.Only that i not so knowlegdeable about it.So is Mez tyres. My frens rekomend me battlax. So far so gd.When got my Super4 it came with pirelli MT75.Go touring then can botak. But lousy lah this model.Slippery and at the same time 'tight'.Always want to keep in a straight line.Even riding on bend the bike like forcing me to go back upright.

But sadly i didnt check the tyre size due to my dependence on mechanic.

Ver S uses 140/70 for rear.

But I bought 150/70.The tyre wall is higher.

From ur knowledge ,is this ok?

For Rennsport there are 3 available compound.

Blue - Super Soft

Green - Soft (most common)

Yellow - Medium

The Green is on sale everywhere. The best is the Yellow one where the medium compund last longer. It is also more suitable for Pasir Gudang and Shah Alam track. I'm asking the shop I go to, to try and order the yellow grade tyres. You can check the compound by looking at the side of your tyre and check the color of the "RS2".

Hi since u know the color label got meaning, then can u help explain other color label of other brand like Dunlop,Bridgestone,Michelin etc......thanks

Rennsport is not your everyday tire since its Dot approve race tires.

With such a short heat cycle, ya kiiing your bank account.

Since u have mentioned that u want something durable, u can check out Metzeler Sportec-M1, Pireli Diablo or BT012SS...

Stay away from the street D208, its one of the most horrible tire i have seen.

okie...tks il4...... i will go look for another model liao.... thk mebbe will go for pireli this time... :p

Hi Bro,

I'll try to check. The color coding is published on the Metzeler site. The rest may be indicated on the tyre wall differently.

the only con i cna think of is, the rubber burns off fast. Well, this factor is inversely proportional to grip.

the better the grip, the faster it wears off.

So can I take this comment to be valid even in wet weather?

wats your expectation from your tires?

I know this is off-topic, but reading your post I swear to god it reminded me of that famous scene in Rocky III.

News camera focuses on a very sweaty Clubber Lang (Mr T), just after he knocked out an opponent.

Reporter : "Clubber Lang, what's your prediction on your match against Rocky Balboa?"

(HERE IT COMES)

Clubber Lang, staring directly at the camera : "Prediction? Painnnnnnn....."

Most Racing "Wet tyres" are made from Super Soft compound. Maybe even softer. But have more grooves to chanel water away from the contact patch. Thus reducing hydro-planing(Hope I spelt it correct). That's why during GP when the sun dries up the track, the tyres wear out in a couple of laps. Futher, the grip fomr the tyre is the ability of the rubber to adhere into the grains of the track. The softer the tyres, the better the grip at the expense of tyre life.

They have this computerised machine that spins the wheel from the center and checks if it balances on both sides (left / right). If not balance, add weights (comes in 5gms / 10gms) till they balance both sides, simple as that but impossible to do w/o the machine. :)

my counterpart in europe tried continental and bin it after one sunday ride.

as for Pilot Sports, its a very good tire however the mileage will be less then idea for u, at least it last longer then wat ya using now.....

<.......grip..............................................................mileage..>

.....Pilot sports...............M1-Sportec/Diablo

not according to scale

so pilot sports is a better choice? is the price ok for it? $390??? too X or ok?

wat abt Pireli Diablo? any price range?

Your rear rim is 4" wide (i assume ya riding a Bandit)

HEnce, i only recommed 140 60/17 or 150 60/17

Sad to say, BT010 do not cater to those sizes.

If u look at the Pirelli website, they do come in 150 profile, but i doubt u can get them in the near future, on top of tat, for now, they only come in the form of Z rated.

I highly recommed H rated tires for your bike....

ani recommedation for yamaha XJR400R? currently using tyres that realli cannot make it...its a dunlop...
