Anyway, do not quote me, i brought my ST down to Sin Ming for annual inspection with my Osram & Hella horn, passed my inspect with no question asked..

 

what's wrong with quoting? we are all sharing info ard mah. i advise fellow rider to bring spare bulbs for inspection cos i myself passed 1 and failed 1 inspection in 2 yrs due to the osram bulbs. same vicom and same inspector somemore. bring along bulbs can change on the spot and inspect again, save the troubles. no hard feelings.

Hi hi. My windshield in very bad shape (scratched and changed color) due to old age. Anyone with bright ideas on how to recover or no hope have to change? In which case, any ideas how much?

Btw my normal headlight slanted one side can it be adjusted? My high beam also shine on the left sign board when I travel in NS highway is this normal too?

confirm same lah... gopa also not the wholesaler... been using this kind of bulb since riding cb400 few yrs ago liao. if fri got meetup i bring the packaging to show u.

yours is pan euro model rite? if not wrong pan euro ones will have diff finishing on their plastic cover. left side bulb suppose for high beam use and not on de. u can c the pattern is diff for both left n right sides. only US models are both sides on by default. but a lot of pan euro in sillypore mod it to both sides on as well. so the left will actually shine higher than the right side.

 

btw u fixed back your headlite adjuster already?

not too sure how bad condition is your windshield, but if it is just discolouration / glazed caused by the sun, you can use wax to polish it away...but lot of hard work, it took me almost 4 1/2 hours before i see results.

yellow bulbs will fail the headlite test meh??

tot tt one only check the light intensity only? i.e. if too dull then will fail, custom HID tt are too bright oso will fail (cos of the $$ involved in getting fined )

 

Been to LAB n FJT oso dun have. Will visit GOPA next time when my current bulbs go bonkers..

the original windshield has a protective layer. But with time and under sun, this layer tends to discolour, what you need to do is to polish away this coating. You can do it progressively and not at one go like me,...

think your headlight has some mod done, the original setting for the headlight is it has only one bulb lighted up, if i am not wrong, i remember yours having both bulbs lighted up when switch on.

yes really failed liao. the inspector still use piece of white paper to put in front to check. then tell me this kind of all weather bulbs cannot pass. in the end changed to normal bulb and reinspect again. the yellow is very intense as compared to the common type of lights often seen on roads. anyway after inspection fix back again liao.

 

or maybe i suay lah the inspector havin pms in bad mood. must c luck lah. the bikes come stock with 1 side lighted up only. if you mod till both sides lighted up rov also can catch u. just that they bother to catch anot only.

those stubborn dull stains..try autosol..metal polish on small area first.It works wonders..

Hi.Your question is very generalise.AS of all bikes and vehicles you are required to do periodic checks and maintenance. Replacing of EO, oil filter...plugs are common items.

I dont know if the yellowish bulb really work well during dark rainy nite along NSHW or Thai roads...... but Im very sure the normal ones with a working headlight adjuster will.

 

I also tried using big watt white light bulb.......CMI also..!!!!!
