i think he got change

due to poor braking... not enough brake fuild flowing in... quite a hard job... cos i am nuts abt bleeding... but know a bit of the thing.... need to use a sharp pointed thing to remove the gasket/ring then change a new 1....

i think big bike better let mech do.... also ST got so many screws....... see the manual... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

in other words all the essential parts on the bike are service/changed... doesnt take really a pro mech to fig it out....he showed me before a whole list of receipts for those riders who change the gasket or whatever parts inside the brake lever withn the past few days..told me dat its really gd...

My pt is if its really faulty then wld it be possible for the riders to experience it all and chnage at the same time unless he promote the items which possibly could be unneceessary...well gospa or gopa as what his pro name is has a gd reputation among the sts bikers here..... so if u find his service is "gd" stick with it..

I hav seen n experience the service and i dun find anythng special as claim by the rest...except for his knowhow and his white st......??try going around other reputable shops andnot to rely solely on a shop....heheheheo_O

ST1100 don speed like a black bird, cant pick up like a CBR, cant reach 300km /hr

but ST1100 can let u sit striaght up with alot of comfort at 220 km/hr and if road condition allows it can last u for long time which i call holding power, not to the machine onli, but to its rider too.

ST1100 is a tourer machine, it has take away it top speed to provide more mid range power for more touring comfort.

We ride ST1100 is not because we don like speed, but we are playing a balance of comfort and speed. We wan to have space to put our touring stuff, we wan to have space for shopping bage. We wan nature element protection while we r on tour, ST1100 wind shield is doing its job very well.

just imagine, u had pack five days of clothing, 2 pair of shoe, personal entertainmen device, 1 bottle of drinking water, some can food...! u fit all onto ur bike without the fear of dropping while speeding on the highway, without the worry of people stealing ur stuff while u r way from ur bike. and most of all the BOX is design to fit the bike to its most advantage position.

btw ur gf will be happy too, as the pillon seat is big enough to move butt around and adjustment of comfort during long journy. it will minimise the complain from the pillon... heeeee....!

cornering for ST is really up to the rider, i had a fren who did cornering on ST with its side box almost touch the ground....! it can go extreme too... :)

should u get ST11? my ans is yes.....

we wan u to share the same joy a us.

during this decision making period, we will be there to help u to see the advantage and the weakness of ST1100....!

we wan u to love this machine and no regret on getting the machine...!

anyway really wish u becoming one of us!

:cheer:

heee.... sorry for the long msg.....!

:cheeky:

For the past 13 years... u are right about this !@!! well say!!

Define Danger

More time on road = More Danger

Less time on road = Less Danger

Slower Speed = More Time On Road

Faster Speed = Less Time on Road

Thus

Less Time on Road = Less Danger = Faster Speed~~

Need an expert to view for you..mi see the appearance not too bad..but dunno how to judge the interior.. :p

So if the bike is verified to be okay after viewing, u decided to get a ST oredi?

Well, dun worry abt regretting..Just like me, I'm beginning to love this beast oredi..ride relaxing on the road without squeezing and cheonging with the riders if they blow at you...

Simply bo chap and relax or sleep on this beast..haha...perhaps only need to leave ur house for appointments slightly earlier...nothing much liao..ur gf will also shiok shiok sitting behind enjoying the breeze and scenery of Singapore.. :lovestruck:

Most ST1100 part can be replaceable......., just the engine is not......

so finding a ST with a good engine and well mainten internal system is the best choice....

Julian.T will understand this very well. u can ask him.....!

first the engine, second the external....!

of course, good engine and good external will be the best, there is cases where people got mislead by its nice nice external but the previous ower don take care of its internal.....long term problem will come.....!

how to gauge the engine is good, i guess simon soh is the onli one here who can judge it well...

cheers....

Even for simon.... he can only help u assess the preliminary conditions of the bike.... dun bank on his words totally and if later not as good.. then our poor towkay kena blamed ehh....

Best is get frm a shop dat u r very familiar wif... or once after a few lao jiaos help u look and say ok.. and u decided to buy on ya own feeling n judgement...

After buying... Go to a good shop dats services ST11s and get him to assess the internals and check/change wotever tear n wear parts needed... juz like me.. prep to spend abit more on after sales... you won't regret!~ :thumb:
