Hi guys.

I'm wondering what's the difference between these 3 bikes. Planning to get one.

.The pricing,

.fuel consumption,

.CoE,

.insurance,

.specs

.etc, etc,

.anything and everything.else I don't know and need to know.

By the way are there 2nd-hands for them? I know the Honda CBR 125/150 has(if I didn't see wrongly), but what about the Daelim RoadWin 125?

P.S; New rider, lots of questions. Hope those are not stupid questions or anything. :x

Read the forum, saw some about the CBR 150 and Daelim RoadWin 125 but

didn't see any for the CBR 125. Just wanna know what's the major differences between these 3 bikes.

Thanks.

Frankly, the answer to all your listed queries is low. Which is good because things like insurance, fc, pricing being low means it's cheap to buy and run.

However, specs are low as well, meaning performance is not there, which is normal for a small bike. Don't sweat it.

COE is fixed across all displacements, so it depends on the prevailing COE prices.

2nd-hand wise, the CBR 150 and Roadwin are fairly common. The CBR 125 is much less common.

Thanks for the info.

Do you know what's the major differences between the 3 bikes?(Performance, Specs, etc, etc.) Having headaches choosing which to get, or do you have any bike you would recommend me?

Very frankly man, differences between small bike performance is quite negligible. If you only intend to use it for a year, the best advice I can give you is "chin chai la". Save your money for the larger displacements, where it matters. If you cannot decide, get the cheapest!

Hahas. Ok, but I'm not planning to use it for a year or so only. I'm gonna skip 2As' bikes. Cause getting car also. Most probably. Then maybe get Class 2s' bike straight.

When I took my 2B, that's what I thought also. I bought a new CBR125 with that intention as at that point in time, it was the best looking jap 125. Now there's yamaha's r15 and R125 to throw into the mix.

After 3 months, riding became quite listless because the bike really doesn't have much power, so I quickly got a 2A bike as soon as I got the license.

Eventually, I made about a 40% loss on the CBR after using it for about a year. Not very worthwhile.

If I could do it all over again though, i'd probably go for the r15. It's extremely cheap for it's looks I think.

Posted

Haha. I won't be getting bike any sooner, I'm sure. Cause I'll be driving car and my 2B bike when I have my 2A. So I'll go until class 2 before I really do change. Might not even change when I have the license. yet, for a period of time.

Well, then it's primarily down to a matter of taste I think. If I was in your shoes right now, and I intended to keep the bike for sometime, I would probably go for the yamaha r125, derbi gpr 125 or the RS125.

These are probably the three most drool worthy baby sport bikes on the market, but they are also the priciest. Since you're gonna keep them for some time though, no harm getting one.

If you're going for best value, I think the R15 has the most to offer for it's price.

i've seen both r125 and r15.

r125 is bigger in size cmpared to r15.

r125 supposedly to compete market with rs125 n mito, being big and only 125cc

seperate seats for rider and pillion

r15 made in india, small in comparison.

r15 supposedly to compete with the sp n kr since it shares the same 150cc and almost same size. front fairing may make it look bigger, but it isnt.

rider and pillion share same seat, similar to super4

cbr125 and cbr150

cbr125 review in the newpaper sates it looks like a younger twin of its cbr600 brother, but honestly its small and looks like the cbr150 with a smaller body and nicer headlights.

cbr150 been around for a few years so parts should be no problem.

honestly think that honda made a mistake cause they didnt come up with a bigger 2b class bike. closest it got to having a 2b class bike was the nsr 125 hornet. but that was almost 2 decades ago. might find one in gd condition if ur lucky.

roadwin wise, i think u should be talking bout the roadwin r125, aka rwr125, since the rest u listed were all sportsbikes. roadwin 125, aka rw125 is a naked bike, the roadwin r125 is the sports bike version.

rw125 is a naked bike with larger tires and frame compared to ur traditional 2b class naked bike. looks like a smaller super4.

bigger then pulsar200, pulsar180, bajaj xcd, fazer150

maintanence wise i heard isnt that bad.

rwr125 quite new in the market and had the chance to see it upclose. huge fairing, comparable to the rs125.

still uncommon on the roads but from what i hear, its fc is quite gd for a sports bike, check out cka motors if ur free

one thing i like bout this bike is that it possess a bulkier frame and body when compared to newer sports bike. if u notice, newer sports bike, like the r125 from yamaha and the rs125 from aprilia, have tended to go with a very small pillion n tail section while the rwr125 maintains a large one. this could be due to the fact that rwr frame and rw frame are almost, if not, the same, as rw125.

i have asked cka bout both bikes and basically, rwr125 is just a fairing version of its rw125, albeit with more features like fuel injection and the sorts.

search around the forums for more info, go to the diff sections for each bikes and see which one is to ur liking.

hope this helps.

info may be a tad bit inaccurate, but this is from what i know :cheeky:

Ok. Thanks a lot guys. It was a lot of help. I might be getting the rwr125 considering it now, while my friend is planning a R15, but I'm still checking out the forum to get more infos. Oh, rwr125 and R15 is both 4 strokes bike right?

R125, RS125 and other drooling "babies" is kinda ex and I had asked a guy who was riding the RS125, he said the servicing and stuff is kinda ex. So all and all it's cost is gonna be very steep and not really worth it.

Posted

Might cost a bit more but not too much of difference right?

I told some of my friends about the rwr125 I'd wanna get, but I kept getting comments like I should get a SP instead and it's too ex, etc etc. :x

Thanks for the info areal, thanks guys.

if u r a big person, in term of tat u r tall than rw125 naked bike or rwR125 sport bike is more suitable.

u wun be looking awful riding it, seen some big guys on cup kias looks like cartoons.

cbr 125 or 150 also small in size if compared to rw or rwR.

most 125cc r built small so becoz of lack in power, the most u can squeeze is 13~14 hp for a 125cc.

more hp if it is a 150cc or 200cc, eg. phantom is about 16~18 hp for an old tech 2-valves air cool engine.

power over weight ratio, if compare cup n cbr to rw n rwR.

cup n cbr have the advantage.

sp r old as good as 9~10 yrs now, if u want to ride just prepare to do more repairs.

most already been hard ridden by previous owners n get rid becoz of crashs n problems.

want power get a 1000cc bike, 100~150 horsepower.

I'm not really tall, I'm 16x.

As my father might be selling away his bike when I get my car, he say that we could swap and exchange vehicles once in a while. So I was thinking of getting a bigger bike so my dad would feel more comfortable when he's riding. (He likes big bikes.)

I like the rwr125 too, but I keep getting negative feedbacks from my friends. Saying the bike's too ex, parts' gonna be hard to find, not even sure bout the bike, bout the specs and if the bike's good, etc, etc. I was asked to get a SP instead. I don't know why they insist me on buying a SP.

maybe cause even though crashed many times, sp is still proven to be affordable and very customizable.

rwr is still quite new... less then 5 years... people generally are not optimistic bout new models from non-japan companies as most ppl believe japan company bikes are road proven and stuff. eg. honda, suzuki and yamaha.

its already 2010. sp and kr gonna be phased out by rwr125, r15, r125, cbr125, cbr150, and other newer bikes under 2b class...

and most 2b bikes are goin the 4stroke path due to the effects on the environment. wont surprize me if they [men in white] start to find a way to tax owners and riders of 2stroke bikes in order to better the environment.

o ya, rode rs125 b4... its a bike that needs ur utmost TLC... even more so then ur girlfren if u aim to do the minimum maintanence possible.

its not impossible, just takes more effort.

hard core aprilia fans would agree more or less right? same goes to mito...

saw the new mito... great look...

have any of your friends ridden RwR before? if u have a friend who owns a RwR let me know his nick here. hahahaha! anyway, so far all of us who have purchased the rwr are contented with our ride. seriously, no engine problems at all. its impossible for your friends to know if the bike is problematic or not unless they are RwR riders themselves. =)

its just their opinions. in the end like areal said, its your choice bro.

2008 July - 2010 March: Daelim Roadwin R 125 (FBC 8363 K)

2010 March - 2011 September: SYM GTS 200 (FBD 7445 J)

2011 September - 2013 April: Yamaha Fazer fz6s2 (FBB 5824 Y)

2013 March - now: Honda NC700XD (FBH **** D)

Haa areal. Thanks guys. Yup, I'm still set on getting the RwR125, read the forum and didn't really see much bad feedbacks bout the bike yet.

What I like about the bike was, yup, it's 4 stroke. Less noise, less smoke, less petrol~. Bigger in size, so even when I exchange use of car with my dad, my dad will still be comfortable on the bike. Glad to know it's not problematic and doesn't have engine, start up problems too.

Posted

good choice, 4 stroke is easier to maintain due to lack of 2t oil needed. it's also the biggest sportsbike in 2b if i am not wrong, so dont have to worry about cramped seats or the looks factor.

personally i aim for the r15 but if money was no problem, i take the gpr 125, nice looker.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

Thank you. ^ Hmm. Why didn't you choose the rwr 125 as well? My friend's thinking of getting the R15 but have got not much clue bout it. What's the difference between these 3 bikes for you?

Cheap + fast = no good

Cheap + good = not fast

Good + fast = not cheap
