sport tourers have more aggressive riding posture, no? so your body gotta be able to handle that. but i've seen people take sportbikes for super long distances...kudos to them!

Actually, a sports tourer is in between a full fledged tourer and a sports bike in terms of posture. You can see it as a sports bike with touring capabilities or a touring bike with sporting pretensions. The old STs from Ducati and the 6th gen and older VFRs subscribe to the former philosophy like I do. Honda's STX, the FJR and most sport tourers on the market follow the latter.

Personally, I'll go for V-strom, if I'm really going to ride on the sand,as well..

If not, it'll be the Hayabusa.

Then again, if you think about posture, maybe FJR better?

Not really making your choice easy eh...

The sort of dilemma and stress I loike...!:cheeky:

An old GS is good.. But how sure are you that you are getting a good condition bike who has less problems.. Dont wanna say no problem as all bike has their own problems..

actually all class 2 bikes can go touring one... even class 2a & class 2b...

all the way from gold wing to super 4 to SP/KR to kup kias had been up to thailand and even further...

and yes, it depends on the rider...

of cus, u must be properly mentally & physically prepared, same as ur bike...

no one expects mishaps to happen during the trip...
