Looi's still has the brown with snake skin seats as well as the black one...no more white....think the white one is the most desirable followed by the black....thats my own persumptions!

the tank is only 15l, pathetic right? after bt 130km, the 1st fuel bar drops, den it drops all the way like a stone! i noe most class 2 bike, the fuel gauge aint accurate, but this is so waayy off...

 

and at bt 200km, reserve already...but this is running in stage...

 

its very very easy to get used to this bike.. love the handling, and feels very light once you're moving.. beautiful unique sound while accelerating..

 

flaws i find so far - 15 l tank, 3.2l EO, No hazard light, No slots for hooking helmet, no temperature gauge, my white seat is alwez dirty!

 

15 litres not that bad but am surprised that once it reaches 200km, reserve lights on...but assume thats in a start stop scenario around town riding.

 

So typical of kawa for not adding the hazard light but am surprised that there isn't a hook for locking helmets....

 

Perhaps we should arrange outing to view ya beautiful white zed!

Because there may arise a problem with the brakes Kawasaki has declared a recall for the 2010 Z1000 ABS.

 

The problem lies in the left brake line, which under hard braking by the rotor can walk to and therefore can damage which may result in an accident.

 

The repair consists of inspecting the brake lines and replace if damaged.

 

In addition, the position of the brake lines to be moved to avoid contact with the rotor.

 

The inspection and moving the brake pipe will be approximately 15 minutes to complete, replace the pipe will last one hour.

 

Meanwhile, all dealers and customers informed about the problem.

it all started with Loois i guess, playing ard with the machine/otr price based so much on your looks. (my personal experience and thoughts)

 

i dont have any braking problem, only that braking is kind of inferior to many class 2 bikes out there, as kind of need to apply or put in more effort in using the brakes.

 

i ran 200 before reserve light goes on while running in, now 210-220 after run in.

 

according to my manual, fuel tank is 15.5L, but didn't state wats the reserve tank capacity. my guest ard 2.5L as i often pump abt 13L just after reserve light goes on..

210 / 13 = approx. 16.15 km per litre

There has been a recall abt the new Zed where the brakelines have the tendency to be severed by the wavey brake discs under hard braking...do try to go back to the agent to ask whether ur machines are affected...coz the recall is activated the whole of europe...

FYI tis afternoon i went to loois n saw a blk z1000 at the show room. i guess it for sale n saw the mr lim push another green one too bt nt sure if tat is sold or nt. . maybe u can call n ask bt he will nt tell me the price. the ans i gt was 20 plus.
