if u have a choice, how high do u wanna stay? assume 50 storey hdb flat.

dou "they" always say higher = more value, but is there really higher demand for 50 storey flat, say compared to 28th storey? i, for one, prefer the 28th storey one, coz cheaper and both are "high enough". :p property gurus do comment pls.

pros of high level hdb flat:

1) good view

2) fresh air

3) less insects

4) windy

5) quiet (far from road/ if "penthouse" den no higher neighbor to knock on their floor etc)

6) higher resale value

cons:

1) more expensive (hearsay every storey from a certain level increase 2k +/- anyone can confirm?)

2) indonesia haze = gg

3) happy waiting for lifts

4) ear get stuck everytime take lift

5) lift power cut = gg

6) scared of heights?

any more pros and con do share!

for me, i don't really care about how high or how big a flat is. i just need a roof over my head.

but if i have to choose ah, middle level good enough. too low quite noisy from passing traffic. too high air thinner hard to breathe. LOL.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

i prefer 7 floor ,

climb up also not jia lat if lifts are down ...

if earth quake also higher chance a bit to run down

i stay on a lower floor, but my house very windy and cool, not much noise from traffic..

my fren used to stay 11th floor, topmost floor yet stiflingly hot and no breeze at all.

like u said, living on higher floors means increased dependence on lifts..lift maintenance/breakdown is a pain..

then 50 stories high..in the morning and the evening everyone wanna use the lift how? ..imagine staying top floor, then going down that time stop on every floor  (extreme case/prank)

imo mid-lower floor still ok la, but must see where the block itself is situated

eg. if surrounded by alot of other high-rise flats..wind all gone liao :(

my block located near yellow, green, purple lines..quite convenient

near eating places/shops too :p

..someone buying a house soon? :D

baby, u're my love..

hdb flats are already so damn ex

Why pay more just to get a higher storey ?

Might as well use the $ to renovate the flat. But don’t take the first 2 storey :/

Roaches and dustbin confirm smell lor

Personally i live on the 8th floor.

I think 6-10 would be fine lolz

I'm staying on 21st floor.. @ Boon lay, which is relatively close to the sea.. So the wind here is fantastic.. If I were to get a house on my own, I would not take anything below 17..

I have move this thread to poll system section.

I prefer lower floors, and the maximum of 12 floor.

because SG fire engine ladder reach a max of the 13 floor.

3-4 floor best, can overlook my bike or place security cam.
