I dont know who started the points theory but I base on terminal area that can be tapped and loop back to battery negative. There are ideal spot that makes the battery negative return short and sweet and yet provide good current flow to the spark plugs and other load (like lightings and horns) of the bike...in short..good common grounding to other "floating ground" base on basic electrical connectvity looping to one common terminal.

Wong is correct to say that there are many points where you can use and not all need to be used..otherwise your bike looks like Spiderman just shot webs on it....

Hi Brandon..this is very true indeed..that's "old bike". Bikes as old as 4years may not need to unless its park in the open and bolting points starts to corrode or heavy oxidation on some surfaces..in short, these are all resistance to return and leakage current flow thus causing a voltage drop which is then a "load"(if this is a light filament..it will light up just as an example of what I meant by "load"). The end result of it all is that the spark plug do not get the full potential for a good sparks for good combustion due to current lost along the way due to "resistant". Same goes for lightings that demand high current like your H4 and electrical horn. Its all transparent..something you can't see but do notice and can feel when done proper. Eazeeee to understand lah hor

Ah Pek, when can the grounding be done? Materials?

The last of all my grounding stuff was taken up by Hondaman. The job itself can come to at least two hours or more. As for material and necessity, yes I have to do some running to get them. If you can confirm a date..it be easy for me.

I think feeling numb is kinda normal after long rides.. Maybe you could try soft handlegrips and also relaxing your grip on the handlebars a lil'?

Yah_Lor...my liver already ko_yak a long time ago.

There are two things that I can think of and its thru experience.

1) Your handle bar 'height'(not the high that kind of height) and mounting posture while you ride may not be in the best of "ergonomic" such that blood circulation to your arms and hand is resulting in your numbness. Each rider has different arm length and body length but the bike from seat to handle bar distance wise is the same. So, the only movable part is the handle bar..one thing you can do is to released the 4 bolts on the handle bar pair of clamps and then twist you handle bar forward or backward to fit you comfortably. Forward up would give you a more upward posture and sit nearer to the tank and has no body weight strain on your wrist and under palm..backward is just the opposite..again it depend on your body frame genically.

Try this..and if its not the case..try No.2.

2) Make sure all your engine mounting bolts are intact and tighten at the right torque. There is one long bolt that commonly come loose and its just directly under your engine belly and frame..the nut always come off..don't know why so checked. The best is to go to a mototiam and asked the mech to retighten all the engine mount bolts..about four or five with a air compressor torque box wrench. If you have the kind of crash bar I see in your image..that kind of mounting is one of the main causes too.

Not going into detail but in brief...the loosen engine bolts are causing physical "resonance" from the engine..something you cant see and is affecting you. Definition for "resonance" :

..the state of a system in which an abnormally large vibration is produced in response to an external stimulus, occurring when the frequency of the stimulus is the same, or nearly the same, as the natural vibration frequency of the system.

Have to be one of the above...otherwise..I blur liao.

I should think so too lah:angel: but I can't definite them as how many to the job desription itself. I tend to asked...what you mean by 3 points...or...?

its WADAFARK in Mirror image. hehehe.

anyways, yeah ah pek did the grounding and I also dunno watfark about points. hahaha.

But there is response to the grounding like lights and already bright meter light become brighter. now I can disturb other gangster car or bike from behind with my headlight! bwhahahah! The throttle response and the pick-up is also different and yeah after doing that, pour the X-1R and also Medicated Vegetable oil...the stupid vibration that numbs my hand has finally stop. Thank Goodness and good riddance. But I dunno if other bike can make the vibration dissappear or not.
