Hi,

Is anyone familiar with changing of handle grip? How do you normally change the grip? Is it simply use a pliers and pull off old grip? And what is the method to put on new ones. Anything to take note of?

yesterday i went in to jb. wasnt that jam. around 15mins of waiting at sg cutom till i reach the passport guy. after he scan my passport, i started my bike but cant crank. like battery flat liddat. so i pushed my bike to one side. next moment saw this spec3 push starting his bike. i also push start my bike with him. after that, no problem lei. the lights are good. while at jb, after i ate, the crank was back to normal. is it the heat which can affect the bike's cranking?

I'd rather get a Leo Vince than a Louis Vuitton.

1) Use a sharp blade to slit on the old one, starting from the inner end..don't apply to hard on pressure.

2) Split the slitted and peel while pulling backwards.

3) Installing new one..applied a bit of eo around the endof handle bar.

4) Applied a bit of evostik (or any glue for mending rubber soles) on the outest end of you new grips.

5) Proceed to slide it all in.

6) Amen!

i doubt heat will affect the bike's cranking, maybe your bike is not charging well enough. As electric start used up alot of voltage, so when you are stuck in the custom and you have a weak magnetic coil or rectifyer and you are not revving high enough. The battery is not charged and thus the problem arises. it is best for you check if it is charging properly. My 2 cents worth.

I hope im right. Do correct me AH Pek :)

oh god. add a a few bucks and u can get a GPR endcan.

sorry, i'm craving for one. haha!

thanks bro sino.. noted..

bro winim, where u get ur coil done?

2nd hand coil?

nope, i didnt want to get a 2nd coil. In my opinion, what is the use of getting 2nd hand when you dont even know whether the coil is working at its optimum level ? From its look, you cant even see whether it is working.

So i requested that i wanted a 1st hand coil. I changed it at Hua Chin at bukit batok.

I asked Bikeworkz, he quoted me $270 but dont know whether he will charge service charge. Better ask for the total price first b4 doing.

Anyway, bro norishmu, you check whether is it charging well first. For all bikes, the voltage should reach ard +-14 volts when you rev ard 3k to 4k.

Hope it helps.

That is why people dont hope that their magnetic coil will spoil.

So you better cross your fingers and hope it is still working fine.

Anyway, to change a endcan, your FC will drop. You need to retune the bike to suit the pipe. The reason you want a aftermarket exhaust is because of the sound and the looks right ?

hmmmm read below on my personnal experience of changing a pipe,

For me, i installed the two brothers and i dont feel any pickup. My FC dropped, the sound is too loud and scared of getting caught by TP (fine $500 and they might confiscate the pipe).

So maybe you might want to rethink whether should you change.

yah i know, If change to dyno jet is comfirm better FC. But how much are you going to pay for the jetting ? $400 ? IMHO, i think jetting is useless unless you change full system and you want performance. So again, money !!! :giddy:

150 more drag and consume extra more petrol

But i wonder does using 150 makes the ride more stable? If not, y do ppl wanna use 150? According to the mech at ASP, the std rear tyre size for S4 is 140. Anyway I will be changing to 140 to give it a try.:)

Bro, that Hua Chin u were talking about is at the bottom level or at the 2nd level?

Last Sunday i can't start my bike and when i push start its started but once i clutch-in the engine seize again... No choice so i push my bike to that motor shop at Bakit batok... Dunno whether are we talking about the same shop.

I got my battery ($85) and rectifier ($85) replaced there... And that is the only shop open on sunday there... The shop i went to is at the 2nd level...

haha. yeah. im the sound and looks. not performance. thats why im getting a gpr, not some blueflame or yoshi. well, some things u need to sacrifice if u want what u want.

thats life!
