Usually ah pek DIY session is below his block.. No motor shop. He only goes to motor shop provided he thinks that we really need help in some parts that only motordiams can fix..

 

Btw ah pek, will confirm with you again tmr see if sat i can make it down. Then can go check on coolant probs + replace gear shaft seal.

hey guys, 1 qn:

 

just nw riding back, was low on fuel, abt 1~2 bar left...

bike starts to jerk, lose power n funny sound from exhaust....

2nd time it happens...

 

dunno izzit e fuel meter wrong, or my bike tank inside got water mixed with fuel....just go pump full tank, then no problem at all... open vtec also no prob.

else can see e RPM drops slowly.....

 

scary man, e sound of exhaust change fr S4 to CBR....

 

any advices?

Wa sianz.. I haven change my clutch plates yet and another prob surface le.. sad liao..

 

So to say if the blades broke then coolent is not circulating properly then the boiled coolant juz stays at the block and heat up then flow out cos too hot.. hmm.. nice..

 

it could be your coolent hose. because i encountered the same problem as you. riding for less then 10mins, temp light on liao.. then can feel the super hotness near the engine, can go bbq already. then every week must top up coolent. went to my bike shop and get it checked, and it was one of the short hose at the middle of the block below the adjust timing broked. now problem solved.

 

my advice? check ur hoses 1st i guess coz u might overlooked it.

it could be rainwater. so far never experienced it before on S4 but ever experienced it on my krr. same description.

Not sure what you mean but if you are saying alst minute you are here, you wanna do, well..its ok but if I don't have the X-1R or eo left, guess I can't. You have to let me know at least a day ahead. My eo is blended for 3 weeks and I usually don't stock a lot..so is X-1R because its too expensive to buy a lot and keep.

 

Anyway..what important is not what I have stock for but when you have to change eo etc..timely. A S4 is a hardy bike that last a long time, but then again, if eo or coolant level is not taken care of..all strong thing would also give way.

You are on xtreme reserve mode where no petrol is vaccum pumped into the carbs over a given distance while the rate of fuel used is faster that it can supply. One day, when you have changed the fuel kock, you study the internal structure of it, you understand better.

what time will it be?at ur void deck..

 

I have to run Ashrobo to have her tire change and may be Xiaobanz to change his gear shaft seal at bike shop near by..Solar be doing his stuff at 10a -10.30am..you can come 11.30am but if like to come early and chat..by all means.

It's not NECESSARY your coolant pump and I don't think so..likely your thermostat located at near the radiator top side on the left under the time. It more common than pump goes bad.

 

When the water reachd boiling point and the thermostat don't open for the system to flow..the coolant are trapped in the system and is not carried to the radiator for air cooling..so boiling takes place. If I were you, will change thermostat first.

 

Fan cant help to cool down while coolant pump dosnt work.

 

My fan was always on while my pump was spoiled, engine heat up n also light on.

 

But can check pump working or not, easily. I think his propeller almost gone aldy.. :D coz rust when he changed coolant.

hmm.. There is another thing that I hb hear my fan start up when the bike is hot. The thing is that the bike OS not really that hot. Bit I think most likely to go check the thermoset first be for checking the coolant pump. But ah pek how must is the thermoset?

Call FJT or Chiong Aik or Ever Seccess..they sell parts for S4. I never change b4 so I won't know. Or you can check with S4vtec on the AMKS4 group forum..he had his change recently.

so tt is to say the air-fuel ratio is not proportional?

instead it is sucking in air n not fuel?

 

but when i stop e bike for awhile, it is back to normal condition. after some riding, the jerky feeling come back with the 'CBR' sound.... tried 3 times all same results (riding from KJE->BKE->SLE->Punngol)

 

Nw i am full tank, nv experience it anymore.

Could it be 'water' in e tank which make the fuel guage on my meter to show wrong info?

Nothing to do with air/fuel mixture...just no fuel at that time and insuffiecient.

That's bekuz you are not using fuel and just enough started to flow in when the fuel move and level to feel your carbs.

That's because you started moving thus using fuel..like I said..THE FLOW RATE TO YOUR CARBS IS NOT ENOUGH AS YOUR FUEL IS TOO LOW (UNDERSTAND OR NOT? :faint:) so is the fuel moving inside and like Tzunami most of the time, its not flowing incarbs when your vaccum sucksed.

dont think changing EO tmr...just check my EO a few days back and still looks ok...just want to have a feel of ah peks EO....tmr will maybe chat2 and see2 since i still noob...hahah

Ah pek, I think most likely I will be at your place about 0930. Cos really need to check my coolent. Today I from home to tampanies then to orchard then back home I think my thighs can become medium or medium well done. Bad bad.

wah .. can i have a bite when its well done? hahaha. anyway s4 is a hot bike la

usually balls get cooked nicely on a nice hot sunny weather.

This time, ho seh liao. just bought my v.s 3 days ago. did a full servicing. the previous owner rode the bike with almost no engine oil. no coolant.. so after doing full servicing. ah chong told me engine no problem. but the only problem is. the engine block both side he tell me if leaking. u ho seh liao. 1.8k for brand new. 800$ 2nd hand. so after riding 2 days. While riding.. 1/2 drop of water very little.. sometimes splash on my leg... hot water. so i dono man. i DONO I DONO!!!! HOW!!!!
