hey ah pek!

if i want to top up coolent, where will be gd to get a reasonably gd coolent?

how much will it cost me in average?

anyway, i found someone willing to give me a stock s4 headlight at FOC, but rusty, do u think can do a respray for it?

thanks in adv:thumb:

Not sure what you meant by "top up coolant..average cost and good coolant"? If just top up, can get from any kiosk the premixed ones and just pour into the reserve tank. Unless, you want to drain the old one and refilled..that's different..an at $25.

"do u think can do a respray for it?"..sorry, your question is not clear..are you asking me to do it or can you respray the headlamp? Of course you can respray but the prep takes quite a bit of work and paint spraying it need to do "baking" otehrwise, the paint work would crack in a few months under sun and rain.

Why do you think its the clutch plates? Have you tried adjusting your clutch cable? It may be stretched and elongated too. Why don't you join us this Sunday at 9:45 to 10:15am at AMK Ave 10 Tech Ghee Square Blk 409. Can have a look at it or adjust fo you.

Btw..one clutch plate cost $11 and may be more now due to the yen increased..there are total 6 pieces.

Congratulation! Yah...no power cut. A good one can give you top speed till your meter runs dead at 190 km/hr. FC is subjective..depend on riding style and bike condition.

Why don't join us on Sunday at AMK Ave 10 Blk 409 Teck Ghee Square (meeting time 9.45 to 10.15 am) for bike talk over breakfast. There are ppl like yourself sharing their experiences.

Funny that you should asked that..hmmmm? Its you finding the place not me..LOL! Don't you have access to a road directory or something? AMK Ave 10 is near NTUC Hub MRT Station..just follow the main road (AMK Ave 3) towards Yio Chu Kang from there..about 300m..along on your right, tere is a turning and that's AMK Ave 10.

Check tire pressure, less sudden burst of throttle, good plugs, healthy EO, smooth engine (good maintenance), etc. There are a lot of things to improve FC. These are the more basic ones..

maybe sir you have a worn-out motor oil (change it) or

too much motor oil is used (drained it & put the exact amount 3liters if newlyu change oil filter or 2.8liters if not) or

the clutch plates are rusted (for being stock for a long time just removed it & have it sanded by a fine sandpaper)...

You can use any type of coolant and not necessary to be the same type. You can get it at AMK NTUC Hub or most Esso kiosk which is cheaper like Ye say. Its call "DIAX".

So...after spending the $300, what do you learn from it?...was the clutch plates giving problem to your original question that it was hard in shifting gears?

Or could it just be the clutch cable stretched and improperly adjusted? If this was so, would the mech just told you so?

Looks like we never know.
