Hi guys just want to check up on the Version S's riding position.

As compared to the newer super4, is there a difference between Version S and newer super4 like spec2/spec3 riding position?

Or is it just my rewrapped seats + sponge that makes me feel otherwise?

Thank you!

Regards,

kifakw

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

thank u bro for responding!! :D actually i just got my bike today.. then got really scared on my way back home when i wanted to kick down to gear one from nuetral with the side stand then keep stalling.. i thought the clutch plate "gone" or something.. hehe~ phew! erm, then is it ok if change gear at lower rpm like say 4 or 4.5? will it damage the engine is any way? and also right, is it normal to hav a "knock" sound when to step down to gear one? ( so sorry guys if my question sounds stupid :( )

thanks in advance for responding to my queries!! :D

Wa, 4 ~ 4.5k rpm. I change gear at 3.5 ~ 4k.. Occationally change at 6 ~ 8k rpm.. That's cos must occationally wack.. haha..

Step down 1 gear is ok with the knock sound.. When i first did that, my fren shocked tio.. thought my bike spoilt sia.. haha

from what i know is that for the ver s the seating position is a higher a bit compared to the vtec models...

the vtec models more sporty therefore the seat a bit lower nia...

all this is not my experience but experienced by my friend...his leg cant touch the ground when he tried straddling my ver s but he say his leg can touch the ground on the vtec models especially vtec 3 model..

from what i see is that the vtec 3 model the design looks more sporty

It aint me officer...The bike is POSSESSED!!

another new rider...welcome to the non vtec family!:p

i also just got my bike recently...during the first week of riding i always change gear at 5-6...the sound very nice even though my exhaust still stock but must feel the power also mah...hahah

but now i trying to vary the gear change ard 4-5....now when change gear always look at the rpm but not really recommended cause if car in front e brake i finish liao...so trying to play it by ear...trying to change gear when the engine sound a bit strained...

also trying to find out which rpm will get me the best mileage also...so far im getting abt 360km for full tank...that calculation is just very rough estimation since i new rider

what i heard is that ver s fuel consumption better than the vtec models?

anyone willing to clarify?

Thanks!

thanks for the advice bro.. i'll keep in mind.. i usually ride 100km/h at gear 6.. i think.. super4 6 gears rite bro? paisey!! i super newbie rider actually.. i don't know why find it abit hard to control even though at 90-100, unlike 2b bike.. maybe not used to the my bike i guesse....

btw, i have an EMERGENCY question, and one not so emergency question to all super4 bros.. EMERGENCY QUESTION: is it normal for the rev meter to switch uncontrollebly from the right to left when in speed 100kh/h..? cuz my bike rev meter can swing from 7.5/8 rpm to 3.5/4 rpm back and forth like a compass needle when i'm at 100km/h ~ 110km/h.. i ask the bike shop, they say it's normal.. are they trying to cheat cuz bike under warrenty still, and they lazy to open meter to check?? non-emergency question: what is the normal IDLE rpm for super 4? pls respond soon bros.. cuz if confirmed, was thinking to bring shop by monday afternoon.. thank you guys so much!!! :D pls help me....

not normal lah... if speed is 100-110, gear 6th... rpm needle shud be at 6-7 one lah instead of dancing.

normal idle i think is 1200rpm +- 100

first week i got my bike i rev until 13rpm... nw i change gear at 6-7rpm. peak torque and power of s4 comes at 9-11 rpm. anything after that the figures drop... but u see the satisfation when the needle go touch the red zone...

by rite vtec rider gets better fuel consumption compare to us... because vtec suppose to save petrol... but by left... people review ver s save more petrol.

damn i am jealous... i only got about 260km after that go into reserve already. why like that... so sad:faint:

Hi bros im changing my bike from vtec1 to PB1.

But when i went to take a look at the PB1, the exhaust header and end can are almost the same as normal vtec series or VerS. I tot PB1 exhaust header should be polished and attached to the endcan as a set... Its a FN plate

Can anyone confirm?

Just to check, isit possible to fit spec3 headlight to Ver S. Was told by the shop that the mounting is different, anybody done that mod be4?

Hello, are you there......

Posted

hmm i actually asked the same question a few pages back...

what they answered is the current ver s headlight is all metal and the vtec version is plastic...some say the plastic will melt if high beam too long

price for the headlight is ard $80

if you want full answer can try page 168 and search for my post...
