Its hard to zero in on your 'problem' with your message posted here. Should not be the spark plug unless it's not seated fully in.

There are many factors involve..from clogged exhaust, low idling adjustment, air filter, carbs condition status, throttle setting, engine oil, magneto staus...have to personally see your bike to know better. Btw, what is your idling after warm up..how many k in rpm?

Hi Ah pek, my idling after warm up is 5 to 10 rpm. i just serviced my carb, changed engine oil.

So low?..that's good what...but it's to low. Recommended at least 1.2k to 1.5k rpm.

The oil is eo leaking out from your spark plug hold thru the spark plugs threading and this happened when the spark plug is not tighten well. Nech tends to hand tight slightly for fear that it cannot be too tighly tighten. Also can be caused when draining eo, the mech don't tilt the bike the other way for remain to drain out fully..can amount to 0.2 litre of eo inside left. They normally just drain at side stand and once stop dripping, they just put back the drain nut. When they filled 3.2..you gonna get 3.4 litre instead..thus excess will espace thru the loose plug naturally.

Ticking sound is ok if it goes away after a few days..if continue for weeks..that's sign of valve clearance problem due to shim and/or cam follower and/or valve spring or adjuster. In summary..quite common for it to come on and off.:sian:

thanks, ah pek- very reliaable info.. wil check again next week if the eo is still leaking...i have tightened the plugs properly..

Yes..I experienced this before and semm quite common once in a long while. If it continues..you may wanna lower the tyre pressure for the front a little. Sometimes, it can be caused by tyre rubber hardening also at its certain stage of wear

Last but not least, its time to change fork oil if you have not for a long time.

Ic , will cont monitor the situation after applying ur solution , ty again.~

Also check your front tyre for uneven "ripple" like wear which is usually caused by too much air initially.

Tyre pressure depends on your overall load...so, should be about the same. Do whatever that makes your riding and handling comfortable with the bike. You and the bike should feel as one.

New eo formulation result so far..

1st tank = 22.6km/ltr 2nd tank = 25km/ltr 3rd tank = 26.03km/ltr (yes..404.1km before reserve). Only you know when you use it ..moreover, change interval up to 20k to 30k but not limited too.

4th tank in progress test now.

Very impressive figures indeed. Ah Pek, how much you'll charge for your new formulation engine oil change, including oil filter? Also, can it be used on VTEC models?

The new eo formulation can be use for both cars and bikes of any model.

Not confirmed yet due to negotiation but likely would be $98 for all complete 3-3.2 litres. Oil filter at $9. Further recommendation which is optional, would be to have 4ozs ($4.75 per ozs) only of X-1R added after your 2nd or 3rd full tank of petrol use with this formulation.

Change intervals would be 20km to 30km but not limited to. For those that have used and are still using X-1R/CLS and my earlier blended fully sync eo with ester, the benefits are the same but expect more like greatly rebuild of inner cyclinder coating for regaining of engine compression.

Those interested are advised to come with at least a half a tank full of petrol as initial treatment premix to fuel is needed.

This is STRICTLY by APPOINTMENT only for the time being.

..and I hope those that are willing to pray_pray with it gets the same result as my 13 yrs+ PB1...LOL!

hi all, i had difficulties starting my s4 days ago, but i took the battery home to charge it, and i managed to start it again..

however yesterday, i encountered the same prob, so i charged it again, but this time, i couldnt start my bike anymore.

the neutral light and the odometer's background lighting appeared, but everytime i press the e-start button, something beside the battery compartment seems to be producing a 'kiak kiak kiak kiak' sound

anyone has encountered this problem before? o_O

Everyone has this problem sooner or later one day. From your description, you can still push start your bike.

Before I can troubleshoot what's wrong, answer the following questions:

1) Is your battery new or ecently changed.

2) Did you go on holiday without starting the bike?

3) "Now cannot start.."...did you rode the bike and for how long after it first time start after your first recharged?

4) Did you check your rectifier output after the bike started the first time after you recharged.:sian:

just for curiosity sake , whats the rpm point that define gentle riding to ' dragging ur bike' ? i can feel the 'roar' of acceleration whenever i go beyond 4rpm ( well the bike gets noisy and louder ) , so whats the norm for superfour ?

Hey guys, nowadays heavy raining time, jus wanna ask if u all had the same eerie experience as mine.. Was riding in the heavy rain, when near red light realise brake never wrk, after i realease all the brake i found that my back tyre is sweaving sideways, cannot be my back brake is jammed as my tyres still rolling.. Any of u experience this before?..

Harlow

Back tyres swerving sideways? like ah pek say might be back tyre botak or if that is not the case, it might have to do with your braking technique.

Remember what we learnt in riding school?

Rely more on front brake than rear brake. Cause the front brake is 60-40 to the rear brake or something like that ratio....

rear brake only be used when really slow speed coming to a stop.

S4 may not be a rear heavy bike but if you used to ride a phantom or any cruiser bike like i do before, this technique will come in handy. cause when braking mostly using rear brake, the back tyres tend to swerve..happens a few time while riding my phantom in the rain...lucky manage to control bike. other wise sure buang.

or if you try the front brake method and still back tyre swerve then time to change your rear tyres!

Hope this helps!

It aint me officer...The bike is POSSESSED!!

Not sure if I understand your question but below is what I can think of to your 'question'.

No such thing as "Norm". If you shount louder, its louder and you shout softer, it's softer to hear..got "normal shouting level" for any human being meh?..not for only S4 but everything else on wheels and have an engine. The choice and option to use is always there from 0k rpm to 13k rpm...and 6 gears to coincide with.
