ah pek, still no sign of coolant leak :thumb:

Also fixing the rear suspension this weekend. any thing to make sure? read earlier post about the type of suspension oil and the amout to use. does it apply to the rear suspension?

Now there's a tick sound coming from the engine, maybe from the clutch area (not too sure, only hear it from from the right side when i am riding). From trial and error, the 'tick' seems to happen either after i clutch-in or press on the rear brake, but not everytime. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Believe you are going to Teck Thyde at No.12 Bradell road. My advise is only to do the back..not the front.

About the "ticking sound" coming on when clutching in or using back brake..errr..I blurr leh..never come across such...soree mannn!:sian:

yup going to teck thye to only do the back.

Any special note to tell him, like the suspension oil to use or the amount of oil to use?

The sound is not a continuous ticking sound, just one 'tick'. then that's it liao. like something getting unstuck. will try and listen more clearly to the sound in the next few days.

Let him know that I asked you to go there to "refurbish" your back suspension. The cost should be $240 maxs but less is ok and comes with two free rebound rate spring spacer.:sian:

After i bought it , i change eo, oil filter, spark plugs ,k&n air filter, battery n rectifier and some other thing related to coolant.

Somebody recommend me to service carb n do valve clearance. I need some advice here.

Huatster888, so far my travelling from hougang to changi airport thru TPE never overheat, only when travelling with alot of traffic light stop or even at tunnel KPE then the overtemp indication will light up but still when it light up i had the bypass switch for the fan. So i don t think the fc is cos by overtemp. I m working afternoon 2morrow, if not can join u. perhap some other day, let me know. thx

Hi guys,

got a few question for a newbie here. Just got my very 1st PB1 a few days back and did a full service on it. My bike got engine start up problem as i always need to pull the choke to start it. Told the bike shop mech about it and was told to clean the carb...so i told them to do so. Now even cleaning the carb plus afew worn out thing change in it, im still have to pull the choke. Wats sup with that? Also i ride this bike very safe as i change gear every 4/5k rpm and never reach the red line at high speed....is it OK like that coz i read the previous thread that some S4 riders ride till the red line. Maybe i will meet up with Ah Pek for some advice but working shift very difficult to meet up on weekends....

Thanks in advance and have a great weekend....Cheers :cheeky:

Temperature light coming on is a very serious matter. You are reaching temperature about 112 degree celsius. The fan should cut on at about 102 to 108 I understand. In your case, your radiator sensor fan switch is yak liao. Manually haveing the extractor fan on does not help much.

Better have your soolant system check and get something done otehrwise..engine block can cracked.

Plse ignore what I said above if your coolant did not boiled at your coolant tank...could be temp indicator wiring problem.

Can however ake sure it comes with the mounting bolts and nut bushing (inside the headlamp back casing). Non Vtec one has mounting screw threading on the back casing.:sian:
