i need some help about my brakes. feel so spongy. not shiok.

 

any idea what to do to make the breaks effective and more shiok? other then changing brake pad.

 

Changing brake pad is not related...other than a faulty brake pump kit..you may wanna try adjusting the disc dual at your brake level. Push your brake level forward and turn the dial outwards.

My s4 rear brake screeches wenever i tap on it.. Y is it?? It happened recently since i changed my thres

Hi guys, I really need some help here.

 

I lost both my bike keys in 2 days consecutively, don ask me why cux it will be the suayest story u will ever hear.

 

so now i'm keyless with a super4 ver S looking dead.

 

What should I do? get a new ignition? where can i get it? god i feel freaking lost...

Ride like you'll never ride again, be safe, than sorry =]

 

Jan 2009 - Jan 2010 = Honda Phantom TA200

March 2010 - present = Honda Super 400 VerS

Is there a way to check e coolant pump working? to make sure it's pumping e coolant ?

tow bike to the locksmith beside lab...lim ahboy

locksmith managed to duplicate keys on the spot in about 30mins

cost about 30 bucks only...tow 20 total 50

If you are still using the original rubber type brake hoses..may be it's expand liao..if have to change..change to the steel type. Oso..could be your pump kit faulty liao.

do u mean the water pump??

Take off ur tank..take off the radiator cap and rev a few time and see if the coolant in it moves as in circulating.

Sorry, no idea as this is what i read here ... I don't have personal experience as I've 3 keys :p ... u can always verify by calling or paying a visit if u work in town area. Or ur friends who ride can help to verify with the key shop.

Heard of this way too.. D shop beside lab can do for u...

 

Vers s can do this way.. Up till spec 1.. As ters no hiss in the bikes..

 

Try to keep a spare ley wit a mobile fren.. Someone whu rides or drives.. In tat way, u can kol him should anutg happen..

wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good windshield for the ver S. also, any good recommendation for places to mount fog lights on the bike? am thinking of getting the small ones (like this set) for trips into west malaysia.

using hel brake hose, well not sure even better or not, but at least its new compare to my brake hose from a 11yr bike.

 

but if ur is a spec 3 think should be ok, but if wanna change for a safer mindset why not. hope ah pek dun flame me for asking u to change.

I am always seen on the left lane hogging the road. :D

hahhaa. i skeptical about the HEL brake hose. i would rather change pump kit. and yes using spec 3.

Most ppl changed to steel brake hoses because it does not expand along its hose wall along its length when the brake level is actuated. The original rubber one does 'expand' a little (almost negligible) due to its rubberise material. The only concern that it might burst one day (yet to hear of it) due to extreme wear and tear while under pressure on hard braking.

 

Good or not..no definite answer but just know that steel ones are more expensive and C_Peh_Chiat!!!..due to its not expaning characteristic..really push the brake pad against the disk..wheel locks easily?..go figure.

Ya, spare keys is very helpful. I am a little kia su n kia see type.

I always have 2 sets of keys with me. One that i used everyday, one kept together with my house keys and one more set with the house keys put at home. So far so good, didn't have to use any of the spare keys. Ya, lucky Vers S not using HISS. Otherwise, very expensive to replace keys.

bro if u wan safe n like me a hum ji rider, change master pump + brakes to brembo. n if possiible upgrade to revo cbs. everyting is possible as long as u got the cash.

No such service lah and if there is..its free. Can only do by hearing if the timing chain gone bad..loud "klucking" noise due to slack backlasing of the chain worn links.

 

Adjust valve clearance?...there is nothing in an S34 for you to adjust..this is an era of "overhead cam" and mostly all using "shims" (like a disc that of a 20 cents coin). If there is a loud 'slapping ticking' sound continously for weeks and weeks from your engine head upper block..it's te;; tale size to replace the faulty one. Valve clearance is only for "rocker Arm" design engine..now this has be replace by "Cam Follower" and that's what you have in ur S4. Whatever..replacing shim or shims inlcuding labour is not cheap...xpect at least $200+ up to $600+...don't play_play or pray_pray anihow what to "valve clearance"....Ha....x3!
