anyone fix rear hugger on their Ver S?

i heard modification needed, meaning cannot buy then DIY fix?

belly pan need to cut abit e part near e side stand.

for 3pt crash bar ,no need to mod.u can use e one Vtecs using.

for hugger not sure but i guess need to do a bit of mod.

btw jus to share , e kind of so-called 'street fighter' front mudguard looks nice on our non-vtecs bike... :thumb:

tyre pressure depends on the tyre brand and size bro... think the sidewall got write...

standard front tire 110 > 200psi

standard rear tire 140 > 250psi ( wif box or frequent wif pillion )

Hi all,

 

I just bought a VerS not long ago, when i throttle down i feel a very strong drag esp at lower gear.. is this normal? did my eo,of,af change and service my carb le..

 

when i service my bike the mech say my steering cone not good le.. what does he mean? what effet will it have on me?

The gravity pull is normal in lower gear bro. Soon you will get used to it.

 

Steering cone is the one that stabelize the fork and the handle. If he says not good that means there is a lot of vibration coming from the cone. Its either loose or need a change. go tiighten or get it change and can feel the difference when handling the bike. :thumb:

Hi, i'm riding a Ver 's'. Just to see if any Ver 's' riders experience the below scenario before. What could be the problem? How to solve the problem? Recommended shop to rectify the problem and lastly $ damaged.Thanks!

 

Sighz.. This morning when stopped at roadside to go to the minimart to buy a pack of ciggy, my bike out of sudden cannot crank.All lights(headlight,signal lights) are working fine but instead of cranking sound when i push the start button, only 'tiak tiak' sound can be heard somewhere below my seat... Meddled here and there,try again and again but no use...

After some phone calls (around 5 mins later), able to crank start again...

 

 

Think most likely:

1) Some wiring connection loose...;

2) Battery/rectifier dying;

3) Carbon starter brush

4) Fuse blown (unlikely)

 

 

Don't think it's fuse blown as i can still start the bike again...

Don't think it's due to loose wiring as it happened a 2nd time after the above case.

So it's either due to no.2 or no.3 or etc.

Just to check, if it's due to weak battery, where is the battery located and can i top up the battery water?

 

Wonder how much it's going to damage me...

encountered the same problem 2 weeks ago...

its problem (3).

 

damage: $68 including workmanship, parts changed n coolant.

(done at Southern Motor)

 

other place quoted me $100plus including HKL :giddy:

This problem does not occur every time.Once in a while it cannot start.BTW where is the carbon starter located at?Will try to knock the carbon starter.

 

Hi,

is it when you press the 'on' button, instead of the normal engine start sound, a 'tiak tiak' sound came out?Head light and every other things still working?

I'm encountering the same issue at the moment.So it's not due to the battery?So far, cold start i have no problem.Only happened 2 times, both times rode about 10mins, stopped for less than 1 min, then 'happened'.Both cases i had left either the hazard or signal lights on before i turn the bike off..That's why i thought it's due to the battery.

 

So what's the final cause?Carbon starter or starter relay? Where and how you solve it? Cost? working ok ever since? :?

 

Also had PM you in case you missed this post.

By the way, where's the carbon starter located at?In case in this meantime i can try to knock knock abit to start it.

Hi,

 

Any of you guys have this problem? I only has it after my crash and repair.

 

When my bike goes into reserve, the bike will die. What's worst, it's cannot be restarted even after I switch to reserve! Usually I just deplete the batt after trying for like 10+ times. Then lan lan, bring back to charge batt.

 

After that, I install the batt and it started on the first try!

 

Was wondering is it a fuel pump problem or carb problem? Before my crash, even low in fuel, it can start but just dies off 1-2 seconds later.

Mind sharing how to charge the battery?

I had the same problem. but I guessed its normal. Since I know what milage its gg finish, I quickly switch to reserve. Coz experiecnce once when the bike died at expressway switch to reserve also cannot on till my battery deplete.Had to wait for like 5 mins then push start then ok. but cannot do that often.

 

But sometimes, when it is nearing reserve, you can feel the jerking motion its giving like its choking out of air like that.hehe

T.T my verS fall down the tank got some minor stratch ... any old bird can give some cheap solution to cover up.... scare got rust wait damage the oil tank
