Anyone got old ver S / pb1 rear fender for sale pls...?

If not anyone know which scrap yard I could go to find?

Thx!!

If i never remember correctly, vers and PB1 comes as a whole stock tailboard. Unlike spec 3 where fender is a separated part.

Hi bro, actually is not.. I just took mine apart (fender cracked)

the top part (rear fairing) and the bottom part (fender) is actually 2 pieces...

Fender looks like this:

For any of you guys that might have problems with 'rough' or 'gets-hot-too-fast' bikes, you should definitely head down and try Ah Pek's specially formulated Engine Oil and special X1R coolant. I went down to do these 2 servicing items as I felt that my bike, while performing reasonably well in daily commuting, was perhaps lacking somewhat in certain areas to truly make it the beast I know it can be.

For one, my '97 Ver S would get unseasonably hot after certain periods of riding, like for example , if I were to take an extended ride through the tunnels of the KPE. Similarly, my bike, while smooth in the lower gears, would struggle and start vibrating quite harshly around the 6.5k RPM mark or at speeds above 115-120km/h.

However, after changing to Ah Pek's special blend of EO and coolant, my bike was a whole 'nother animal. A simple test ride was 'ordered' by Ah Pek after he had done these two servicing components and boy, was I pleasantly surprised by the performance! Exiting from AMK Ave 5 onto the CTE, a short 'whack' through a couple of lanes had me flying right up smoothly to 120km/h ish, without me even realising - that was how smooth my bike was. Similarly, my journey home from work, which often takes me through the oven that is the KPE, suited my newly-serviced bike to a T - sealed with the beauty of Ah Pek's EO/coolant, my bike was well, cool as a cucumber, with not one sign of the red temperature light even beginning to blink into action.

So, if anyone has any problem with their Super 4, I'd just like to humbly recommend Ah Pek's servicing. I have no regrets thus far, and I don't anticipate any ( at least for the next 20,000 km - yes, that's how long it's rated to last). Top servicing, top job, top man. Thanks Ah Pek!

Thanks for the kind words my friend and glad all is well and proper for your ride. Ride safe always.

Yoi Bro..not into bike business lah..no shop..just sharing my passion. If ur bike is not performing due to old age wear and tear and no budget to spend thousands in overhaul or need advise not to get chop by golden parang..I'm available to help within my means.

And I don't replace rusty bolts lah..and shop oso can do but it's something u can DIY...LOL!

The possibilities are MANY. It helps if you tell us more like how old the bike is, what model version, how long u been riding it, physical wear and tear out look (like any oil stain, balck sticky residues.. etc.)..any smoke from exhaust, when was last oil and spark plugs and coolant change etc. But just my guess base on ur above discription..more like a dirty air filter, worn spark plugs and rubber ductings from carbs to engine.

Well, i just rode this bike for abt 3 months plus.. Its a 95 version s model if i am not wrong..no physical wear n tear outlook.. In fact i just change my eo, sparkplugs n oil filter recently( few days old)... N ah pek my bike have dropped while on stationary few wks back.. Is this one of the course??

Hmmm..I see. I would not rule out the possibility especially when u have 3 point crash bars as they are mounted to two of the engine mounting points. When the bike drops, the body chassis should be absolving the impact which usually is a very nasty jolt..worst if your tank is full of fuel. This jolt can cause moveable components in your carbs like floats, float pins and jetting needles to move and bang against something. I don't encourage 3 point crash bars as they are so call..should use the two points as there is two mounting bolts position at the front main frame for it.

The above mentioned is just a probabity.

Thank you for your expertise ah pek.. Do you mind roughly qouting me how much will i be charged to service the above mentioned as well as air filter.. Dun wanna kena chop by mototiam.. N if i delay the servicing will it cause any further damage to the bike?? N roughly how much for a rear brake pump kit??

I won't know but it's something u can DIY especially the air filter. Just take it out and see if its dirty but usually airfiletr are very clean bekuz our environment and air in traffics here is good. If it looks blacken and sticky with residues..probably it's particially clogged but hardly. If u can see the reddish or orangly color of the paper filter..there is nothing wrong with it or need cleaning. As for the carbs..just take a long flat head screw driver and loosen anticlockwise each nut under the carbs reservoir..it's just a flat screw that u can turn to release petrol that is in the reservoir area where the flaot sit..the float could be stuck or something. Just turn this "fuel draining screw" (one carb each) till it stops of fuel. Tighten it back and after all is done and try starting the bike..may take a few try as the carbs is dry off petrol. If you need further help..PM me.

Hi guys,

Does anyone know of any rear hugger/mudguard/rear flap I can install on my '97 Ver S? My pillion gets drenched each time we ride through a puddle. Any one installed a rear mudguard( or something of the sort) ala the Pulsar NS200 on your Super 4? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

It's a rojak bike..crank case of non Vtec bike but engine block of a Vtec without Vtec..the meter is a Ver R non Vtec..and God knows what else. Yah..when buy spare parts..may have problem..especially the left and right start/stop and headlamp assembly..not sure what version they belong to as wiring may be of difference between Vtec and non Vtec.

I was about to post the same thing. I'm interested in the pulsar kind of mudguard. Where can I get it and how is the fitment to version S swing arm?

Cut the wires to ur voltmeter and throw it away. No need to change anything..ur problems all solve. This voltmeter thingy are meant for cockit uses (in cars)..not mount on outside.
