this is the exactly similar to the setting up of the bike's powerband, based on what you want out of the bike and the main usage pattern, some will opt for top end power (high peak hp) while others will opt for lower peak but higher torque at lower ranges of rev along with higher avg hp throughout the revs..

if the riders feel that most of the time they are travelling at above 280kph.. then most probably keeping the stock wheel base or even extending it will be desirable.. while on the other hand, those who likes to "flick" (small extend when used on a busa) their bike around and does a lot of city mileage then a shorter wheelbase will suit them better..

food for thought for those running dual intake cam mod... and those planning to do that... :)

Engine builders using an OEM intake cam on the exhaust side of GSX1300R ? Y2KZX12R do you really do this ?

The 1300R intake bucket bores and their outer to outer walls are spaced aprox 2.525 inch apart . The exhaust bucket bores are spaced aprox 2.433 outer wall to outer wall . I did not take time to measure dead center off the valve guide bores so someone else will have to do the math as to how far off the cam lobes both intake and exhaust are spaced from each other .

The spherical cam lifter bucket face has a .002 crown built into it so that the lifter bucket will spin in it's bore . This is based on the need for the cam lobe centerline to be concentric with the center axis of the valve stem .

It might be a popular modification but I have personally seen the result of running the intake on the exhaust side by inspecting another persons 5k mile head . Wore the lifter flat and put a side load on the bucket bore that could be seen visualy and felt by hand .

Then there's the issue of the oiling section of the cam journal being slightly misaligned , possible introduction of harmonics setting in ect .

I am not knocking your building practices at all . It might work for you and others but I just can't assemble them that way while knowing the engineering why's of how these components are designed in the way that they are .

Guess it boils down to you do things your way , I'll do it mine . Good luck with it .

confirm, 24k is machine price.. OTR price should be slighty higher than b-king:thumb:
