using mra, it quite good at high speed.

dont have any touring shield but i think i will go with mra viro since, for gen1, it looks better.

for gen2, from pics. zero gravity does make a nice shape touring screen.

used to have a zero gravity touring screen on cbr600. its quite good at above 200km/h

but i agree, zero gravity makes quite a thin screen

ok guys, gotta try my luck here. Was wondering if anyone of you have / know anyone else who have spare gen 1 busa rider & passenger seats to lend me / rent to me.

The duration of the lending period / rental period would most likely be 2 months max.

Reason for this, I'm sending my 2 seats to California to get it upgraded to Tobin's / New Image custom driver and passenger seat and it'll take them probably 2 months to ship it back to me. So during this time, my bike would be without seats which I feel won't be too good because my bike is usually parked at the HDB open air carparks covered with the bike cover that's all. I'm afraid that if I were to go without seats and just use plastics / other ways to cover the electrical component area, water may still seep in causing the components to fail.

So having another seat would be best (avoid damage from rain) and I could also ride during the time my seats are away.

Any kind soul here have that additional pair to lend / rent me? :)

Go Ebay get a set, direct ship to Tobin..........

hi all, i have some issues which im trying to understand.. so seeking some help from all bros here :)

my ride starts to feel jerky when i close throttle, as in close throttle without clutch in, tried at 2nd gear rpm:3k & at 3/4 gear ard rpm: 4-5k. it used to be very smooth just last week..

when im neg a bend/corner on my right side, halfway down somehow my steering seems to attempt to steer towards my right,& at speed of 200 plus my bike seems to be shaky which dont used to be. i just changed my tyre. would that be the cause?

Honestly I'm still researching. Where is this Eugene saddery? I shall pay him a visit.

Price wise is usd$295 + USD$45.20 shipping for 2x seats

USD$160 + USD$45.2 shipping for 1x seat

Whao.... thats a bit steep... I am also considering changing to a gel seat. I kinda like the original Suzuki gel seat but it got mixed review. Corbin is good but need to season it before you feel the impact. Also thought of reducing the seat height to get a more upright posture.

But all boils down to money.... I think I got train up my butt better...

i am on gel seat. way better then stock seat but wishing that the gel take most of the space rather then just a small potion at the center of the seat.

kinwei, amir here... i saw you posted you mra vario windscreen and it has a great feedback... but have you tested zero gravity touring bubble..? or the mraa without the small spoiler... anyone who has tested those two windscreen, let me know... i wanna compare these three and decide on which touring bubble i should get... especially when i pillion someone... thanks...

You mean the 1st one from the right of the pix?

zero_gravity_suzuki_hayabusa_0811_600.jpg

Never try this one for a simple reason, it look too tall and out of the place. But Pashit, the online seller, has been using this windshield for his touring trip and he has positive review on it. But then he is selling it, so...... Anyway I think you will have to trial and error for the windshield. Rider height and built play a part too.

I personally tried Puig (windblasting on shoulder and head = bad), Power Bronze (less windblast on shoulder which is good but helmet kanna wind buffering causing it to shake) and then MRA Vario (Everything solved but now like less wind to "support" my body during high speed resulting in more arm power used to support the body).

Another reason for choosing the MRA Vario is because I don't want to trial and error again. The Vario got an adjustable spoiler, so I could adjust until I get the one I feel is perfect. The risk level is lesser.

I'd like to know which is the best windscreen to get too. My zero gravity touring windscreen don't seem to be the ideal windscreen for high speeds. I felt my windscreen shrudder at high speeds & the wind does not flow along the top contours of my helmet very well thereby causing my helmet to vibrate violently at certain angles.

Try MRA Vario. It did solved my helmet vibrate problem. But I'm only 1.75m while you are 1.85m. Don't know if it will work for you.

Zero Gravity is well known for it optic clarity, maybe that why it is thin. Supposing you can see thru the windshield clearly when you hide behind it during high speed. But then as a rider, how often do you actually look thru the windshield? For me, I always peek thru above the tip of my windshield unless I'm riding a goldwing then different liao.

pashnit is using the double bubble only. not the sport touring ones.

Is it? I all along thought he is using the touring model. But windshield really have to trial and error one. Last time I've used MRA double bubble on my CBR1000RR, it looks quite small but it deflect the wind quite well. You can adjust the vario's spoiler to get the optimum air flow. At it lowest height, it looks just slightly higher than the stock. But then it doesn't have the appeal of a double bubble styling.

Usually I will just shift my butt so that it will rest on one butt cheek to let the other side recover. Free method for me.

Prior to my minor accident last Sept, I was using a Zero Gravity Double Bubble windscreen. It was absolutely great when I travelled at high speeds + aesthetics wise, its lovely. I only agreed to change the windscreen to the touring windscreen because there wasn't stock for the double bubble windscreen. IMO, it's not a good windscreen to have (touring zero gravity) because it caused me a great deal of discomfort.

HELLO Bugsy! It's been awhile! How have you been!

Thanks for the tip.. I'm now considering if I should buy it from emay then ship directly to Tobin's.. of course, that's additional cost involved as 1 stock seats on ebay's going for minimum USD$60 and the rear USD$40 used.

That's indeed steep in terms of pricing. But this price comes with a middle person (Pashnit). I've gotten a quote directly from Lee of New Image Seats, so far, he mentioned USD$275 + shipping to SGP. I'm getting this info reconfirmed. Will let you know again in due course.

Yup i read a couple of reviews good and bad abt gel seats too (eg. on a hot day heat gets trapped in it etc) but again, like what you say it all boils down to how much one's willing to pay and one's preference.

Bro, I can't ans you on the jerky feeling you felt on your bike.

As for the bike being shaky etc.. u remember when we rode I was tell you that my front tire kinda wobbled? I guess it has something to do with the alignment of the tire. Since you've just changed your tires, try to get your tires aligned again and try.
