Hi everybody, I need some advice . I am riding wave s and on monday suddenly no light on gear level , meter not working n no digital petrol level . I think it is the battery weak but not sure so anybody can help me? thanks

You mean that your whole meter is out of order? no lights and meter not working at all?

 

Could you start your bike easily?

 

If the starter coil could't generate and ignite, that could due to batter as you had mentioned..

 

It better push to shop for standard troubleshoot than ppl may give u wrong SUGGESTION

the only problem is the whole meter is not working- no petrol level, the gear level light n the mph indicator.please advice

MPH indicator? mmm... are your wave from Europe? hee.. kidding man..

 

If your WaveS is the first version by now probably ard 3 to 4yrs old.. It must be electrical fault that resulted severly shut down the power supply to the meter. For a meter it shouldn't be too exp.

 

ultimately, u should push to shop for rectification.

yes my bike is fy6??? 3 year coming november. thanks bro i solve the problem after change a new battery by diy my self. check voltage on multi meter only

8 volts. ask around my friend said maybe voltage 8 volts not enought for my digital meter . today install new battery everything ok now. thanks again

My bike(wave 125 R) recently got this wierd sound coming from the engine. Its not the high pitch "tick" sound but like those "kacang" sound. My friend told me it could be the piston ring not in proper place and some told me that my piston is gonna die. Can anyone enlighten me with this situation????? Help!!!!!!

it could b the tensioning chain loosen le needs overhaul minor wan,... if piston is out due to pistion ring wear u should hear like knocking sound... wat i feel... but i might b wrong...

What do you mean loosen chain? Are u referring to the timing chain inside the engine that is loose?

There might be some possiblities bro, if ur piston ring is out, ur bike cant even start coz its jammed, if da rings wear out u might hear a knocking sound, if ur timing chain is loose then u might hear other kind of sound, so its best dat u get it chk by ur mech.

8V??? Electrical supply lowest probably at 10V is the worse...

I've went down to the bike shop and once he heard that sound, he told me i have to overhaul my bike. He said the conrod is damaged and needed to be replaced. I stayed there for about 1.5hours to see how he opened my engine and block....When he opened everything up, i did not only see the conrod damaged but also my piston and block are already damaged. He told me that my bike needs to overhaul everything. Everything cost about $520.

 

What he changed:

 

Overhaul charges = $180

New block = $120

New piston(stock) = $80

New gasket = $35

New conrod = $80

Plus labour charges = $??

 

What do u guys think? Is it too expensive to overhaul a wave 125 bike at this price? cause personally i think its expensive.

bro...i tink my bike also got those sound.but all de shops i went to said dat its either de timing chain or de tensioner loose.given a quote for $65 to change de timing chain.

Hi frens, I been riding a Wave S for a yr and got 2 queries abt the bike need ur expert advice. Thanks:P

 

1) I had changed the rear abs with a chamber from ah boy which is kiss racing brand. The abs looks chio but i think it is not so gd as i think the chamber is for decoration only. When ah boy mechanic fit the abs, he had to put a extension as i do not wan to remove the original chain cover and the abs will kana the cover and due to this, my bike tyres is not 'floating' even on main stand and I suspect due to the bike weight contanstly acting on it cause my tyres to deflate often. I wish to change the abs but brand is gd and cheap? Get from where? Any pics to show? Also I wan to restore the bike to the original height with the new abs.

 

2) Difficulty in starting in the morning or not been riding the bike for 1-2 days And i wish to depend on choke whenever I got this problem. What is the cause of it and how to rectify this problem? I dun seems to have seen ppl who had the same model of bike to hv this problem as mine.

For my case, when they opened my block and engine, my piston is already damaged together with the conrod. My timing chain is perfectly fine. But for your case bro, better check with ur mechanic cause im afraid that urs would be the same as mine. Have it check b4 its too late cause mine is already at the later stage of the damaged done.

no 2 question can be due to several ? 1 cab dirty 2 air n petrol mixture

3 plug gap or dirty 4 timining too low n mine is cause by adjusting higher timing

er.. if i am not wrong.. maint free batteries cannot open up one.. so if got the conventional yellow caps on top that means it's a well cell and its not supposed to be dry and no water..

It is a yuasa maint free battery which i open up the whole piece of strip with screw driver-red in colour on your picture to see inside which is dry.thanks.

Hi bros..HELP..I just got a wave..Previous owner went to mod the original carb n engine block head tomuch bigger size..now when its raining the bike kinda get stuck n engine cease..by the way..air box not used also..cause if used..becomes worse..Need Your Advice Brothers..Should I change carb n block head to totally original??any lobang to buy second hand original stuff? n where is the best mechanic for wave?thanks brothers..Please help
