it all depends on usage, your taste for looks, your pocket etc. there's so many factors to consider but you just ask which 1 to go for.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

i saw this RVF bike FN plate at speedway (batok) with COE expiring in 2015 selling for $5,000.. is it a acceptable price? guess it's only machine price. I heard speedway is a cheating company though.. scare that bike might have alot problems~ but $5,000 make me feel like buying~ :cheeky:

I haven't tested the bike yet.. just check the price only.. FN plate COE ending in 2015? i feel it very strange.. i thought FN plate should be dying already and re-newed? how come left 5 years? how to count de actually? I heard if never renew 10 years coe but instead renew less than 10 years then the bike cannot be renewed again.. is it true? but actually guys, is it ok to go for after 10 years bike with renewed coe? will there be alot problem for bikes that are after 10 years?

Get Super 4 in my opinion. Used to owned one & it was great. FP-FS plate, Version S can get arnd $3k-$4k. FT-FV, Spec 1 can get arnd $3.5-$4.5k. Go survey @ Bike production or Repulbic mtrs as they hv a few Super 4. Maintainence wise, Super 4 is easier as it is a naked bike & alot of stuffs can b done to bling it up. FC is gd, can get abt 300++km for full tank. Top speed 180km/hr.

First u must consider the maintance for both bike,RVF is an old bike which is more than 10 yrs and wear n tear parts r much higher than Super4.

U can use 2b and compare like NSR Sp n a phantom 200.is about the same but the maintance price will be double up of Nsr Sp.

and Overhual RVF can cost u another Nsr Sp.RVF had been whack by alot of pervious owner over the yrs.but if u get a super4 spec3 which is just only over 5yrs and the wear n tear rate is not that high as RVF.But i admit that the power come out from RVF is u can see bye bye to a super4 at the traiffce road liao

but afterall if your wallet allow u to do so then u can just carry with your ideal bike:cheers:

nahz.. think i can forget about RVF.. think not worth it for so much money for after 10 years old bike.. now I thinking of CBR or s4.. CBR look cool too.. and the cost of it is cheaper then RVF.. i saw one CBR damn nice.. but i see the plate i shock.. FL plate.. dots.. wonder if i should buy or not..

not much of a difference between the 2 for insurance. probably about $80.. and i am comparing between a 15-17 year old rvf and a 8 year old s4. if get a newer s4 i think the gap is further reduced. super4 insurance is nv cheap in sg.

The start of Hyper VTEC comes with digital meter, with the stylish clock type speedo and tachometer, nice tail (*my point of view) and large storage compartment, the front brake caliper mounting on the fork and rear brake caliper mounting differs too. Hyper VTEC SPEC2 introduce HISS (* which means the ignition works only with programmed keys) a different design in the tail light cover, rest are more or less the same as Hyper VTEC.

Hyper VTEC SPEC3, the most remarkable are the design of the rear tail which mesmerize many many. The rest remain unchanged. Introduction of Super Bol'dor around 2008, CB400 with head cowl.

*there seems to be some different in tank design between Hyper VTEC and SPEC3.

Yes, the VTEC actuate at different engine speed for the three model. The engine are mainly in black, non-stainless steel header, wide seat with thick foam, triple spoke aluminum rim...

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

I think it depends on you, whether you're going for a class 2 bike or sticking to 2A for a long time.

I have a friend who is gunning for a class 2 bike, he bought a second hand super 4 so can save a bit of buck before getting his class 2 bike.

if u are a sports bike person, surely u will not get super4 right, u will not feel proud riding 1.

follow ur heart i say, but be prepare for anything else thats comes

I wd onli get a 2a sportsbike to play with pgm iv or rs 250. The inline 4s, its betta if u juz save ur time and money, wait 1 year and get cl2. Why? coz if wanna ride sportsbike, mite as well go all e way.. even an old cbr600 f4i is definitely more fun den a rvf/cbr4 ever will be.. no nid to start w/ e latest models...

TS: bro, im in the same situation as you.... going to take my 2A soon and tempted to get a class 2A bike.... also looking at RVF or S4... market price for a RVF is 5-7k, depending on condition & mods... taking into consideration that RVF is already a 10 year plus bike and parts are not super cheap (as compared to 2B bike parts), i feel that i would rather save the $$ and get a newer class 2 bike in 1 years time... the 1 year can also be used to save $$ for your CBR600, GSXR600 or R6!

but choice is up to you... got the $$, then why not?

Cheap + fast = no good

Cheap + good = not fast

Good + fast = not cheap
