Yeah I Heard Its Cooler But How Come My Friend's One Seems To Be Hotter? He Bought It From Msia. Maybe Its Not A Good Brand But Its Still HID So Usually If Not Good Brand Shud Be Whether Last Long Or Not, Brighter Or Not. Not Whether Too Hot Or Not Right? Pardon My Horrible Engrish. Hahaha.

it is supposed to run 'cooler' than halogen.. i low beam used to be HID, high beam halogen, i did a small test, i on my low beam for a while, then on halogen for a slightly shorter time. i touch my headlight cowling and realised the halogen side is much hotter.

normally for super4, halogen is 55W. HID is 35W

This statement gives me the impression that HID is only running cooler because it is rated at 35W.

In a nutshell, HID is more efficient in creating light than halogen.

Example, if the HID, and Halogen are both rated at 35W, HID will create more light but less heat than the Halogen.

it gave me that impression too. BUT what i am comparing is, same wattage for HID and halogen.

I want to try to install HID lights on my SP... heard from almost everyone that it could make my headlight housing melt. Is that even true? I thought it is far cooler than that of halogen?

It is illegal to install HIDs into Halogen lamp casing, but if you install HIDs into Hid lamps casing ( Projector lamps ) it is legal...

Not true, HID runs cooler than halogen......

whenever i put HID light on my RS (low beam), it dies after a few days.. what's going on? :(

It seem that your RS ( 2b right ?? ) cannot support the HID system..... also have the battery checked !

i dun encourage the installation of HID..tested once on my spark and the current flow is higher than expected melting my engine coil and rectifier..trust me u wont wanna know the cost of repairs compared to changing of the light. =)

that's only if the stock bike comes with projector lamps right. i think so far only newer c2 sportsbikes have factory fitted projector lamps.

You should have tried our HID 12v 15watt system instead of the regular 35watt industry standard system.
