but to me its quite difficult to have the whole family out of the country. as in the WHOLE family. that includes your in-law and it all linked. well anyway its your personal view so we respect that. But to me i have a number of frens already migrate but parents and inlaws still here. Mabbe should hear wat they have to say hahahaha.

 

I believe alot here fight for their own and their family and wat is rightfully theirs. Definately not fight for the bullcrap politics here for sure. If i were to shoot any politician who is link to the ignite of the war it will be then.

Let's paint the picture the other way around. If Chinese is the minority in sg. ur neighbour is a chinese country.

When War starts, especially for SG history of peace for so long. Will a chinese shoots another fellow chinese who is the enemy?

Even yes. that chinese soldier will be a little bit hasitant to shoot. Now in a war. U hasitate, u die. simple as that.

 

I will be glad if they don't put me into a unit that handles sensitive stuff. Anyway, our infantry are the sweepers so nayone can join. but in the picture I paint above, I rather be asigned to police force or CD. Doing something that is just and helpful.

 

Seriously, this is speaking from the bottom of my heart.

 

I like military stuff like History, war story and war games before I enter NS. Used to think it's glam to be commandos, diver, armour and etc.

But once you are old enough, able to understand the reality of war. U will seriously wish that wars are fight on computer games.

 

I also think it's darn glam to Be II, inteligence, Bomb disposal. But once u know how this world work. U will hate it .

 

I don't want to be in the situation whereby after I retire from military inteligence, They disclassified some my personal materials and return to me.

 

The materials are photos, video recording and logs of my making out with GF 1 to 10. logs of myself checking into h81 with all the flings. Internet logs of myself visiting porn site.

i really like living in Singapore in general. i'm satisfied with what we have - the security, the environment etc. if there were to be war, i would be really lost as to what to do. i wouldn't know to choose to escape and survive with my family or to stay back and fight. it's a really hard decision to make and i hope the world stays peaceful so i wouldn't have to start worrying bout it at all :/

Having served te army, i wouldnt want to come back.. Dun get me wrong, i like singapore, its jus tat our army scholars or generals are jus bookworms, not war veterans.. Wen i was a sect comd in my ns days, my pc was a top hon grad from harvard, good planning, but execution not tat good..

 

Unless they get proper war veterans to lead the fight, i doubt many soldiers wanna put their life for a person who only is good in studies.

Yours truly thinks when it comes to war, whatever is typed here might be thrown out of the window.

 

There will be those who said they will defend their friends and family and such, but might be the one running away.

 

The only thing that is real is that only true blooded Singaporeans will really give a sh*t as to what happen to singapore.

The one thing I never forget is that the land below my feet is the land of my motherland.

It's a small island,but f8ck it. This is my land.

 

I was in NS during the 9/11.

The next day, you can feel the atmosphere, where everyone Singaporean son in the camp has a different attitude about them. The air is tense, everyone was extra cautious, a sense of real purpose about being in a No.4.

I do not need war to understand that Singapore belongs to us, and only us will give a damn as to what happens to our homeland.

There are two sides to a coin...here...

 

On one hand, I don't really agree to some of the Rules and Regulations with regards to the political games being "Played" here.

 

But after having worked in 3 neighbouring countries in the past 10 over years, I can’t help it but love my Country – SINGAPORE….

 

Yes… it’s a very Expensive place to live in…

But in the end, after all these years… those who went over (to the ANG MO Country) is back here to Singapore to stay for good…. Why? Can’t elaborate much over the internet…

 

Yes… at this point of time, we may seems not to have the best of Leaders… (In my humble opion…). But in time of "Needs", a Singaporean Leader will always be there to lead... It happen before... it'll happen again (Not that I wish for that to happen.... )

 

The bottom line is….. Should there be a need to call upon me… …

There was one phrase in the Army handbook that said (and I paraphrase)

 

The pillars of our defence system goes around resolving issues via diplomatic means. Should that fail, the Army will come in...

 

(or somewhere along the lines of that)

 

The former (settlement of any diplomatic disputes) are handled by...no prizes for guessing. Sure, I can have high hopes that these group of people can handle it well, but when something goes wrong... :-/
