sometime prefer auto, sometime prefer manual

during jam, i love my auto, but :dot:

while playing hard i could have more fun with manual and cornering could be safer. without engine break our lives hang solely on the breaks :( & good breaks is a must :thumb:

There is pros and cons for auto n manual....

For auto is gd when u r in jams...

But for safety wise, hv to be careful cos if ur feet step suddenly on the wrong one, suppose to break but step on accelerator, then tats it man.....

Semi-auto still considered auto. As long got no clutch its an auto. =]

if u compare a same car, AUTO n MANUAL, whats the difference in acceleration and other points?

does manual car does better in corners?

yes, a MT car will corner better than AT car..

you have the flexibility to drop to your desired gears and maintain the rpm within the powerband.

with that say, having the rpm high within the powerband, maximum torque will be transferred to the wheels, ensuring the wheels stick to the road.

you can't do that with AT for sure..

u mean auto u dun pull handbrake meh? manual driving must get used to it, becoming a habit to ur daily driving. Even auto during stationary when ur gear is still engaged in "DRIVE" u still must step on the brakes mah.. just do it same for manual loh if you are not comfortable to begin handbrakes with.

AT can dun pull handbrakes. cause you will be stepping on the footbrakes all the time when you are in D mode.. unless you shift to N when at traffic lites..

i'm driving a MT & i like it. even when i'm jammed in the causeway going up the slope to jb custom.

auto to me is good when i hurt my left leg & cant drive for a week. other than that, i'll still take MT. @ 1st, was a challenge when i just bought the car as i was stuck @ slope 1/2way queueing. just need some practice & you'll get it.

Manual for me. I feel like I'm driving a go-kart when driving an automatic car.

Hmmm.. does it mean that a Class 3A license holder can drive a GTR (R35) or a Lambo because they are both clutchless?

Yes. As long there is no clutch, the car is considered auto.

Does the cc of the car matter is auto or manual? Small cc auto or manual better? I thinking of getting a picanto, so not sure if auto will be as effective in shifting or not, or need bigger cc to shift smoothly.

It all comes down to Individual preference. Some may prefer to drive auto cars, coz it's much more relaxing to drive. And some may prefer manual like me... Hehehe, coz I get more control of the car. Especially the gear changing. And to me it's so much cheaper to repair a manual car.

Like I told you in the beginning. It's one's preference to drive manual or auto. Both still will take you to point A and B.

What i meant was for a smooth engine transmission, small cc auto good enough? Or bigger cc? Does the amount of torque affects the auto gear shift?
