Seems like everyone is very negative with this track. In the 1st place, everyone was hoping for a track and kept complaining that there will never be a track in SGP. Then now, finally there is news that the track will be built but now seems like the yet to build track has already been worn and torn by words.....

If track would be build, LTA will work Out something for all race wannable.no point building a white elephant on our limited island.

Maybe purchase online ticket and you can ride /drive your war machine that day for a certain timing only .unleash all hidden monster.

Should us feel even happy that more international races held here.

Teaser:

Can't really see the layout of the track from the video but from what I CAN see..... erm... "interesting" :pity:

Not really your typical layout. Looks like the track is wide in some areas and suddenly becomes narrow along the way. Strange looking corners too.

Any1 has the official layout?

Any1 has the official layout?

don't think it's finalized yet,

as according to reports,

the owners are getting approvals from various bodies, eg. FIM,

then have to consult various race rights owners, eg. MotoGP,

before finalizing track layout.

just have to be patient,

not long to wait already.

ya, finalize everything den construction start... how long to finalize details? now they haven finalize details of the track layout, den wat bout the other 101 details of the whole structure? den when the track details finalize, they say mite have to increase length of track so muz wait for approval... u c, construction is not a simple draw and build kinda thing, u have many parties involved. u hav to get approvals from here n there, design, get approvals again, plan work schedule, procure materials and machinery to consider. the track details r not even confirmed yet, so wat if they have ground breaking? can't even start the construction or move machineries in...

so wat can u do about it?

how long oso have to wait right?

or u can boycott if they take longer than u like? :p

dear eyke, not to offend u or anybody in reading, u said dat its not long to wait in your post, daz why i mention bout the process of getting the approvals n all. its not a matter of u like, i like or anybody like n wat can boycotting do? r we still living in an era way b4 millenium or world wide web? ... since we can't do anything bout it n all we can do is wait, why not leave it alone instead of discussing it every now n den??? is all this discussions or postings of their progress gonna make things complete faster? why not leave it to the owner themselves to announce their progress or unless someone in here is from the governing parties involved n wud like to let the community in SBF know 1st hand info...

with the track design being sent to Claude Danis (FIM safety officer) next week,

plus he'll be coming down to do site visit and finalize track design in mid Oct.

As with the YOG... expect alot of protests and complaints from the public that to hold an international event such as the MotoGP race is a waste of taxpayer's money.

Probably somebody will start a "I hate MotoGP in Singapore" website.

Its amazing..... the numbers of whiners and selfish losers we have here in Singapore.

Just because they are not taking part in the event... it therefore becomes a waste of money and others who have interest in it are not supposed to carry on pursuing their own passions and dreams.

YOG is spending Sg's (our) money,

however this track and watever races it holds,

is a commercial affair which does not spend Sg money,

but will contribute to Sg coffers instead.

News from Crash.net 12/11/2010

Singapore has moved one step closer to securing a spot on the MotoGP calendar following the news that its proposed venue is likely to receive FIM approval.

Singapore has worked hard over the last two years to establish its first permanent race track, with SG Changi winning the tender back in March to build the S$330 million ($256.4 million) venue.

With the FIM president Carmelo Ezpeleta visiting the proposed 'Changi Motorsports Hub' to discuss safety issues, he says there is little reason to doubt that Singapore won't be ready to host a race as early as 2012.

"I am happy to tell you things are proceeding smoothly for us to come to Singapore," Ezpeleta told MediaCorp.

"Once (governing body) FIM approves the track for us, we can begin to talk terms with SG Changi about having MotoGP there and when the first race can be held."

Motorsport has become increasingly popular in Singapore following the first-ever Formula 1 night race to be held there in 2008, though it is undecided whether MotoGP will follow the lead of its four-wheel counterpart – as well as the Qatari race – and hold the event under floodlights.

Hey Doc, what's the chance we can get track time at Changi and save the trip to Sepang?

I'm hearing that CMH are more interested in attracting cars - ironic given that they'll likely be hosting MotoGP and not F1!

bro, do u tink by attracting cars will be enuf for CMH for cover every cost? i doubt so..unless they invest in MBS or RWS la..they will sum how nid trackies like us to boost up their funding..no matter how it goes, still there is SMSA to propose local race seasons for bike category, same as wat they did at PG..im sure sum foreign bikers wanna try out the new track..but anyway, let us all cross-finger so tat we will not be left out..hehehe...

Austin,

CMH is a circuit for Bikes and Cars. Immediate plans is to host international race like motogp, japan gt...

Our chance to ride on the circuit is almost equivalent to the car provided there's demand. At the moment, the demand comes from the car based on my observation during its ground breaking ceremony which i attended.

Whateva it is, you will have chance to ride. If you looking for more chance to ride, join me on grid.. :p
